Smoke from Power Supply? If so,you need a new Power Supply.

The current voltage rate for North America is 120 volts so you need the north american N64 ac adapter and use a voltage or a multi meter to check the ratungs.

White xbox360 console will not turn on the power cord is on but theres no power going to the console

Hi there, you can try a couple of things. If your power supply is plugged into an extension lead, try plugging it directly into the mains socket. If this does not work, check your USB ports on the front of the console, check for bent pins, if there are any pins touching it's probably causing the console to short and therefore not turning on. If this is the case, just separate the pins. You might not be able to use these again tho, may have to get them replaced. Hope this helps

My xbox360 doesn't let me play some game or download stuff

Your XBOX is not connected to the internet. If you are using an ethernet cable make sure that it is plugged in both to the Xbox and at the other end. If you are using a wireless adapter you need to check the settings and make sure that it is joined to your wireless network. Also, it is possible that you are simply not signed in to your xbox live account.

Are you trying to play a game online or from a disc?

this problem occurs:

  • When there is too much current.
  • When the voltage is too high.
  • When the temperature of the power supply is too high

  • if you have the console plugged into an extension lead try plugging directly into the wall, but 1st, turn off your console and leave power plugged in to allow fans to continue cooling the system.. after fans switch off, carefully plug out power cord and allow cord and console to cool in a well ventilated area for 24 hours. if its still red you may need to replace your power cord as it may have overheated

    Nintendo DS Will Not Charge

Try if the battery is charged right, when batter is fully charged disconnect from AC adapter. Hold the power button for 5 seconds. If it does not work that means that you need a replacement battery for the Nintendo DS. When you receive the replacement batter, follow the steps again.

    Hey killerblue1, and Guest
It's somewhat a vague question, but I'll try my best to give you some options. I'm going to assume that your friend doesn't have an xbox 360, and you brought yours over to play, so I'm gonna go by that scenerio.

Try this, once you plug in your xbox360 to the network, which I'm assuming you have it set to be Modem --> Router --> Xbox.

Unplug the power from both the router and the modem, leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds, and then plug them back in, starting with the modem.

turn on the xbox, and see if it works for you.

If it doesn't, try this method:

Update the firmware on that router. I had the same issue with my xbox360. It's quite easy to do. Go to the manufacturers website of the router, and just do a search for, 'firmware'. Then, once you download the file, open up the console to your router.

It usually something typed in the browser like,, etc. Login, and update the firmware.

If that doesn't work. Get ahold of sony, maybe even checking their site. They may need some specific ports opened up on the router to allow specific packets to go through the network.

    Hope this helps.

PS: If all of this doesn't work, please attempt to test the connection, and post back what step it fails on. It can be easily narrowed down to what is causing the issue if you do.

Hook up Xbox360 to what, internet. Just plug the ethernet cable to the RJ-45 plug to your Xbox360 to your cable modem or router. If you mean you want to set it up, follow this link.
