Is your Micro USB cable a "B" or "A"?Micro USB "B" is for data/charging. Micro USB "A" is for charging only and will not work for any kind of data transfer (pins not connected). The connector will be labeled at the micro usb end. When you plug the cable into your phone a popup will ask you if you want to connect to mass storage. Once you answer yes, you can connect to the phone just like a usb drive.
plug the card into your computer with a usb adapter or if you have an sdcard slot use that. then right click on My computer or computer if your using windows 7. click manage, click on Disk Management, under storage. You should see your SD card there. Right click and choose FORMAT.
When you bought the Voyager, you should have gotten a USB cable to connect the Voyager to a computer. If not, you'll need to purchase one. NOTE: the USB cable needed has a standard USB connector on one end, but the other connector has to fit the Voyager (same place the charger plugs in at). Verizon sells the USB cords for the Voyager.
Your other choice is to get a MicroSD memory card, put it in the Voyager (place on the side to insert it), then put your music on pictures on the card, then take out the card and put it in your computers memory card reader, if it has one.
As long as you have a memory card installed in your phone, you should have no problem. Use a micro SD card of no larger than 4 GB. Attach the cable to your phone and computer via an available usb port. Your pc will then recognize your memory card as a mass storage device, and you cn drag and drop your files to and from the computer.Make sure your phone usb connection is set to mass storage.
Be careful, if you use the USB cord to plug the phone up make sure that your not formatting the entire phone.
Did the Micro SD card come with the bigger card to plug it into making it a standard size SD card ? If so then you can plug that into a card reader if you have one go into MY Computer, and right click on the drive of the SD card click format.
Those are the only other ways of solving said problem if you can't do so on the phone itself. Also the phone may not accept a memory card of such size.
Well if you have a memory card in your phone, you can put it into the adaptor and put that into your PC (if it has the memory card holes).
Other than that, you should have had a cable when you bought the phone which you plug into the same bit as you put your charger, and the other end into a USB socket.
Then go to My computer, and it'll be in one of the drives. (or you can download the Samsung software to view pics on).
The other alternative, is to get a bluetooth adapter for your PC and send them via bluetooth.
you actually don;t really need the CD. you only need the cable to connect to a pc via USB. or you can connect using Bluetooth if your computer supports bluetooth
if your connecting via USB. be sure to set some settings first
go to <Phone Settings >Connectivity > USB Connection > select MASS STORAGE
when you plug your phone. your phone should act like a regular mass storage device. Take note that only the External Memory is accessbile. (NOT the INTERNAL Phone Memory) so be sure to have a Memory card in your phone.
so it will be helpfull to set the default storage of pictures/files/etc to the external memory
hello Burr !!
my name is M-zed. i think i hev a solution.
you should try going to ur phone settings, then to "connectivity", there you will find two options : sync & usb. choose usb then you will find another two options : data fax connections & memory card. select memory card. now you can connect it again to the PC using your usb cable & you will observe that it does not ask for installation then you can find the removable disk icon on "my computer". this way you can send mp3 files to your memory card, then copy or move them to your phone.
