Where is the scroll lock key on my keyboard

Hi Mark,

for scroll Lock on your laptop try the key combination hold the Fn key and press the F12 to activate scroll lock, the same can be used to undo the Scroll Lock too.

as you will see that you can also activate most other functions with the Fn Key combination when used with the keys which have the functions printed on them in the same color as the Fn Key
for example Fn+F3 keys will toggle WiFi on or off, Fn+F4 will put the computer to Sleep, Fn+Up Arrow to increase Volume and Fn+Down Arrow to Decrease Volume etc.

hope this helps
warm regard

My windows 7 laptop display has rotated 90 degrees how do i change it back ?

Most of the time the display can be rotated back with one of these key combinations:

1. Ctrl+Alt+ Arrow Key (Up, Down, Left or Right)
2. Ctrl+Shift+ Arrow Key (Up, Down, Left or Right)
3. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+ Arrow Key (Up, Down, Left or Right)

Your best bet is to try the Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow first.

When I use the Fn + arrow keys to adjust the volume level, the keys seem to become stuck, and my computer behaves as though I never stopped trying to adjust it, either up or down (grey volume indicator...

My personal opinion is that there is a bug with the laptops driver software. So your first port of call should be to get that updated, this should be the correct link to the driver updates;

If this does not work then it is likely to be a hardware problem, the only real soluition being to take it to a tech shop for a check over. It is however, much more likely to be software based and the driver update should fix it.

Q208 no sound

try using the following keys. The FN key with the right or left arrow keys..

The FN key iss the bottom left corner key... The right arrow key is to turn the volume down... the left arrow key is to turn the volume up..

If your still having issues on your screen there should be a little speaker down by the clock. Righ click it and go to Properties you might have something turned off or need to adjust something.

Adjust brightness on aspire model 7736z-4651

Most have a Fn key. You push down on it and then look for the "F" keys that have a sun symbol with an up or down arrow. You have to hold the Fn key down when you adjust the brightness with the arrow keys to get it where you want it. If none of this works, you may have to go to the OEM web sight and download a HotKey driver to correct it.

My Acer Aspire One PC Notebook speakers stopped working

The computer employs hotkeys or key combinations to access most of the
computer's controls like screen brightness, volume output and the BIOS utility.
To activate hotkeys, press and hold the <Fn> key before pressing the other key
in the hotkey combination.

<Fn> + <F8> Speaker toggle Turns the speakers on and off.

<Fn> + < > Volume up Increases the sound volume
(only for certain models).

<Fn> + < > Volume down Decreases the sound volume
(only for certain models).

Cat stepped on button a faded my screen how to correct

You'll need a 2 button combination for this fix. All the cat did was adjust the screen brightness. Look at the bottom of your keyboard on the left side for a button that has Fn in light blue -this is the Function key. It controls the other keys that have a second function on them also in blue. On your right side, you'll see keys that look like a sun or lightbulb depending on your model. By holding down the Fn key and tapping either key, you will increase or decrease the brightness of the screen.
Let me know how this works for you and rate this tip accordingly. Thanks for using
