Serpintine belt wont tight ,idler pully is in good shape old belt came off thought it had streached it was almost new replaced it still having same problem.

Are you sure the belt tensioner spring is strong enough to keep the belt tight ?
You should have to move the tensioner to put the belt on, then it should keep the belt tight when you finish.

How do you tight the serpentine belt in a matrix. when i am putting in the alternator back in place but am having trouble putting in the belt on it.

It takes a long wrench to turn the bolt for the tension pulley.
You release tension on the belt to remove it, then let go of the pulley when you have the belt back on.
The tensioner is spring loaded and keeps the belt tight.
There is a video on YouTube.

The belt on my hotpoint aquarious wma33 keeps coming off

Belt is not adjusted tight enough when being fitted, if no adjustment can be made by moving the motor then the belt may be stretched and will need replacing, the drum bearings may be faulty and causing the pulley to be out of alignment, water may be getting on to belt causing it to slip off.

Trouble with manual shift after replacing drive pulley

If the pulley is a bigger diameter it will make the belt too tight when de clutched, as the gearbox is a simple crash style bo, any movement or drag on the gearbox pulley will stop you engaging gears.

Noisy fan belt

with a noisy belt its caused by a worn belt, belt not tight enough,a pulley in poor condition or grease/oil on the belt.check the condition of the belt, make sure the belt is tight enough.if it has an auto belt tensioner it may not be any good and need replacing.if the noisy belt doesn`t use an auto tensioner then the belt will need tightening.if its grease/oil then the belt will need to be replaced and the pulley`s cleaned off.

I have a 94 Ford Escort, installing the timing belt. It's extremely tight and am having trouble getting the belt to settle into the teeth of the camshaft sprocket. How do I get this to fit?

did you remove the tensioner? or recoil the tensioner? you could have been given the wrong belt- that has happened to me couple of times.

You need to pull the tensioner back or you are routing it incorrectly.
