Remove the cutting deck from under the ride on, this will give you better access, although it is a big job it is a lot easier to get to the belt

If the turntable has a two-piece platter, Lift off the outer platter and place the belt around the inner platter and motor pulley.

If the turntable has a one-piece platter, lift off the whole patter, place the belt around the inner drum. There will be a hole in the platter's top through which you can reach a finger to stretch the belt so that the belt can be placed around the motor pulley as you put the platter back in place.

Installing an alternator belt on a 1994 dodge grand caravan

You should be able to move your belt tensioner by putting a wrench in the pulley bolt and levering the pulley toward the front bumper. You may have to place a piece of pipe over the wrench to get more leverage. If the tensioner will not move easily (like it is stuck in place). Replace the tensioner with one that is not frozen. I purchased a good used tensioner at a salvage yard for $10. All my belt squealing went away. Route the belt around the pulleys leaving the belt between the tension pulley and the engine. A shoe string or piece of wire around the belt will allow you to pull the belt up on to the tensioner pulley while you pull on the wrench holding the tensioner down with your other hand.
If you have to change the automatic belt tensioner. The automatic tensioner is held on by a nut. You have to jack up the car crawl underneath and reach up between the alternator mount and the rear exhaust manifold . The access to the nut is finger tip small. You will need a 14mm 6 point socket , a short extension, a long extension, a short breaker bar,a socket wrench, and a pivot joint for the extensions. Getting the nut onto the new tensioner is the hard part. Finger tight the nut and double check that the tensioner is positioned correctly in the mounting slot. Then tighten down the nut and put the belt back on.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE BELT ON A WHITE KNIGHT CL447WV - DO I REMOVE ALL OF THE SCREWS ON THE BACK + IS THERE AN EASY WAY TO GET THE BELT ON?

You must pop off the top of the dryer then remove the front after the front is off you can get to the drum. The belt goes around the drum and the motor pulley and under the tensor wheel after you get belt on replace front and top since you do have the back apart you can do it this way:

Remove the back -lots of screws- to allow access the drum. Then tip the machine on its face and unscrew the access panel that lets you get to the drive wheel. After feeding the belt around the drum from the top, reach into the access panel and pulled the belt over the pulley wheel

Which is easiest, the choice is yours as they are about the same either way. Hope this helped Tim

I need a serpentine drive belt routing diagram for a 1999 chevy K2500 4x4 pickup with a 350 engine

Serpentine belts are easy to change. The key is knowing where the 1/2" square drive tensioner is and to remove tension to the belt at this point.

If you remove the belt, it's easy to put the new one on because the pulleys are designed with grooves for the groove side of the belt, and smooth pulleys for the smooth back of the belt to ride on the pulleys.

Just go over, under, over, under until the belt is threaded on, except for the last idler pulley which is smooth.

Use the 1/2" breaker bar to turn the pulley until one can slip the belt onto the last 'idler' pulley and you're done.

GE model DQSR483EE1WW. This is what I know so far: the switch on the door works so it shouldnt be that safety, it is getting power because the light work and the timer at least buzzes like its working,...

Try looking for a broken belt. (electrical interlock prevents starting with broken belt) Disconnect power, open door, remove two phillips screws which go from top of door opening into dryer top. Swing top up and back. If belt not present going around drum, that's your problem. Remove one screw from side panel to front panel on each side (near top) and lift front panel forward and off the bottom pegs. Set the front panel to the side (leaving door switch wires attached) so you can slip new belt around drum. Reach under drum to put belt WE12M29 around drive pulley and around tensioning pulley. (grooved side of belt touches drum) Put front back on dryer and manually rotate drum a couple revolutions to make sure belt does not come off before closing up top and reconnecting power.

Works but doesnt spin. Where is the belt located. I think that might be the problem.

To access your drive belt, you need to take the front cover off. Unplug the dryer first.
There should be 2 screws on the front cover in the lower front area. Remove the screws and tip the bottom of the front panel forward until the top clips are frree of the top panel. Be careful there is a door safety switch wired. You can disconnect the wire and set the front panel aside.
Look under the drum in the dryer and you'll be able to tell if the belt is broken or loose.
IF you need to replace it, you'll need to take the 4 screws that hold the front drum support/duct assembly loose from the dryer case. Once these are removed you can pull out the whole gray assembly and slide the drum out.
The new belt can be purchased online at repairclinic.com if you want.
To put back in, you can put the belt around the drum and slide it back in. It should have a grooved side and a flat side on the belt. Put the flat side toward the drum. It routes around the motor pulley and a tensioner pulley. It may take a bit to figure out the routing, but the key is to put the belt into the indentation ring on the drum to allow you to get it around the pulley and tensioner... if you leave the drum sticking out of the machine about 8 inches, you can reach thru the drum and hook the belt in place, then slide the drum in and pull the belt out of the indentation and onto the larger circumference of the drum. You may have to twist the belt to get the flat side next to the drum.
You can then put it all back together...
Good luck... be patient and you can do it.

I am trying to replace the drive belt on my Kenmore front load washer, model 41747102700. The old belt just fell off and was laying on the floor of the washer. In attempting to replace it it seems as if...

The belts on front load washers are very tight. The trick to putting them on is starting the motor side first. Wrap your belt around the motor shaft then while keeping your fingers there to hold it in place, use your other hand to start pushing the belt on the larger pulley while you turn it. The belt is going to try and work back off the motor pulley while you are turning the large pulley which is why you have to keep your fingers down there to hold it on. The new belt will have several grooves on it. Make sure these grooves are all meshed in the motor pulley grooves.
