I have the same problem. Less than a year old had a brief period when turn switch on there were times had to turn off & on again to get going now does not start at all. Suspect switch or reset switch.
Problem is taking to Sears tool for repair costs more than tool would be new to replace. went thru similar issue with jointer/planer.

Hello, It could be the reset switch if it came with one. take the cover off where the wire from the motor runs to the switch and see if everything connected if not it could be the motor itself. hope this helps

Manual for craftsman 10 inch table saw model 818320

I think it is great for you to be needing the manual however most of their saws start with something like 315.1710 look for a number with a decimal then look for the manual. seems to me that the model number you have here is the motor model number. Hope this helps.

Do you know the specs. on motor of craftsman 10"tablesaw model 315228410

Is there a nameplate on the old motor? If so, it should state the HP, speed and direction of the original motor. If not, a 1/2 HP to 1 HP 1750 RPM motor with the same size shaft that will turn the blade the same as the original should work fine. From the online manual, it appears to have an internal start switch, so the wiring should be standard.

Wait for the motor to cool then try again..... you may use compress air to blow across the motor to speed the process.

My caraftsman tablesaw was exposed to moisture. The last time I used it, it seized up. Got any ideas about what I should do now?

about the only thing you can do is spray everything with WD-40. and turn or move things by hand. i am not sure what is seized up but if it is the motor then spray the insides with WD and turn it then do it all again until it frees up. if everything feels loose then lightly blow of the excess WD with air and give it a try.

I have a Craftsman table saw with a burned out motor. The motor model number is RM871. Where can I find one for less that the $130.00 that Sears wants for the motor. That's the price of the saw.

SOUNDS LIKE THE PROBLEM I HAD, BUT WAS JUST A SEIZED-UP BEARING. I WENT TO LOCAL ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR ($15.74) PARTS AND LABOR, THEY REPLACED THE BEARING, THERE ARE 2 BEARINGS ON IT, COST IS THE SAME FOR EACH. THE BEARING IS PRESSED ON, SO REPLACEABLE. HOPE THIS HELPED
