Question about Samsung SPH-M500 Cellular Phone

Changing the amount of time the foreground is on

When my M500 is closed the date and time on the foreground screen is only on for about 10 seconds and then it goes black.  I have tried to go in under settings, but it will only let me change what the foreground is ( a digital clock, an analog clock, calendars, and others) but I can't get the amount of time to stay on.  I would actually like it to be lit as longs the phone is on

Need information on how to set time & date on a GE

Press and hold the STOP/SET button for two seconds, then release to access the set-up menu. The time/date setting follows the language.

The full details are in the "Changing the Settings" section of the manual (page 10 in my copy). If you need a copy of the manual, you can download one at

Iphone screen get dark in the middle of the conversation

Changing the auto lock setting will improve that.
  1. Click the settings icon.
  2. Click the general option.
  3. Press the auto lock option.
  4. Change the settings to your heart's desire.
The phone will dim 10 seconds before whatever the time amount selected is. For example, if you chose 60 seconds for autolock, in 50 seconds, it will start to dim.

Remember, changing that option to "Never" will drain your battery life much faster if you forget to lock your phone!

I have a alpine MRP-M500 amp connected to 2 10 inch comp kicker subs. The problem is the subs rattle and distort. The subs have been tested ok and all the wiring has been tested also ok. What could be...

Any time that there is a rattling sound from the subs, that indicates that they are probably blown. How were the subs tested ok? If the resistance of the subs is still close to OK, that is good, but it doesn't necessarily indicate that they are working properly.
Try using different subs at a lower volume, or turning down the gain slightly.

CHANGING DATE. SET DATE INCORRECTLY WHEN USING 1ST TIME

I understand that you wish to change the date on your KODAK camera.;
Please go into the menu, camera settings, date and time.

You can also reset the camera: Take the batteries out for longer than 10 sec. reinsert and the camera automatically asks you to set date and time.

My office has the Prostar 816 phone and the manual is not detailed at all.. I needed to know how to change the time (due to time change) Our manual says #55 etc etc... Help me please!

To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming2.gif)
2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM
3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.)
press # when finished.

Need to reset date and time after changing the

Here's the instructions on how to do that :
Quick Instructions on Setting the Date/Time:
  1. To set the current date and time, press and hold down the SET/EDIT button for a few seconds. Release the SET/EDIT button when the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators start flashing.
Note: The unit will revert back to normal display if no other key is pressed for 10 seconds.
  2. While the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators are flashing press the LOCK button to cycle through the 3 available date formats.
  3. Once you have chosen an appropriate date format press the SHIFT button to switch between each of the different DATE, MONTH, YEAR, HOUR, and MINUTE fields. The field that is currently active will start flashing. To change the field's value press the LOCK button. Each stroke of the LOCK button moves one value up.
Note: If you go past the current year, you will need to press the LOCK button to cycle through the year 2189 and back up to the current year.
  4. Once you are finished setting the Date and Time press the Set/Edit button to return to the normal display. The Date/Time Stamper is now ready to print.
