Turn to the left.....while holding the blades still....If it is hard to do, then use a wrench and beat it with a hammer...or use and air impact wrench.

I suggest that you should remove deck, turn upside down and place straight edge or tight string line over blades from outer edges of deck frame. Use the guide strips to get even measurement. Rotate blades and measure distance from straight edge to tips at both sides. they should be the same. If there is difference from one side to the other, either the blades are bent, or if each blade is same at each end but not aligned in centre (difference in height) then the spindles need packing to make them even. Check that bearings are not loose. If you do not understand this best to take it to service centre.

Have Poulan riding mower with 135 cc motor. Battery is full charged but the engine is not turning over. starter is not turning at all

Check the safety switches, especially the blade safety switch, people forget that one. Blades must be disengaged to start the engine.

I need to repalce my blades and i have the model number but cannot find the blades online.

Your Poulan riding mower was made by American Yard Products. For the AYP 38" mower, you have 2 options for blades. 1. #131322 heavy duty blade 2. #193957 mulching blade. You should be able to order these thru www.searspartsdirect.com also try www.amazon.com
Good luck!

Check for foreign objects caught under the deck, as well as for a bent blade. If that's not the problem, look at the mower deck belt - is it burnt or worn in a spot? Take it off, and see if you can turn the blade spindles and idler pulley freely. If they scrape badly or are frozen in place, that's the problem.

Do you have a diagram for how to install a deck blade for a poulan 15.5 hp 38" 5 speed briggs and stratton

If you are refering to the actual blade and not the entire hub assembly then it is real easy. Just take out the one bolt in the middle of the blade and put your new blade in.

42 deck craftsman riding mower. how do you get blades off? md 91721880.

On most riding lawnmowers, you can remove the blades reaching underneath the deck while the deck is set to its highest position. This may not be possible on lawnmowers with three blades; however, most 42 inch mowers have two blades.

The blades are usually held on with either one or two bolts (on each blade). Oftentimes, too, there is a lock washer underneath the bolt.

If you have auto ramps, it might help to push the front end of the mower up on the ramps. This can give you more room to access the blade bolts.

If the blades have not been removed before, those bolts can be on really tight. You might need to use some kind of breaker bar on your wrench to give you more leverage.
