Static. cannot get picture without lines and staic

If you haven't already try setting the convergence board, another thing that can cause that is old electrolyte in your picture tubes. Before you change the electrolyte find a small rubber diafram about the size of a half dollar and pump them it stirs the electrolyte and sometime it will restore it and straighten up your picture. Hope this works dhgill1949

Trying seperate the base from the top for moving

they do not seperate because the base is where the color guns are located so that is why you cannot remove it.

What causes the image on the screen to jitter

Sounds like bad convergence ICs. They are complicated to replace but a good tech should be able to do it for about $100. Let me know how this works out.

VS - 45065 Rear projection TV

hi .

All the models listed on the manual are all the same chassis as yours. when there are more then one model listed it means that there are a few different variations of this unit, normally it refers to the screen size. if your set for example is a 51 inch unit then look for the model closest on the manual.
yes the wii and other gaming units are fine to use with a rear projection television. the only thing to watch for is not to pause games and walk away as this will cause screen burn.

Mitsubishi VS-50705 convergence problem.

There should only be a couple of STKs, the R's are resistors, they STKs should cost under $20. This should be everything you are looking for. If you need anything else, let me know.

How to disassemble a VS-70705 for transport

I found the problem. Mitsubishi put 2 strips of what looks like rubber caulking inside, presumably to keep the TV from rattling or something. Peel them off from the inside and the top comes off just fine. Both pieces are still very heavy, so its at least a 2 man job moving either piece. Most of the weight seems to be the LDF more than the TV though.
