Insert boot disk and press any key
SOURCE: need of help
It's not a problem with your monitor. It's a PC problem. Usually this happens when one of several things has occurred:
1. A USB drive (jump drive, thumb drive, etc.) has been left plugged into the PC. This could even be a printer with a memory card reader on it.
2. An incorrectly mastered boot CD is in the CD drive, or a non-bootable floppy disk is in the floppy drive.
3. The hard drive is failing or has failed.
4. The filesystem on the C: drive has become corrupted and needs to be checked or repaired.
Those are listed in order of likelihood based on my experience as a PC technician.
SOURCE: i have a note that
It would appear your hard drive has either been corrupted or has failed all together.
I would suggest reseting the system then follow the on screen instructions for entering setup or the bios, and see if the bios is still detecting the drive, it should be on the first screen with your cd rom drive listed as well
if the drive is showing there, then it may simply have been corrupted or damaged by a virus. you can try inserting your windows cd, reboot the system and press a key to begin the setup when prompted, follow the instructions on screen to attempt a repair, or a restore to an earlier point. if you simply start a windows install and overwrite what is there, so long as you do not format the drive first, your data should still be in tact, however many or all of the programs that you previously had installed may not work and will have to be reinstalled.
