Question about Pit SSR 110CC Pro Beginner Bike

Bike wont fire. has no spark

Bike has a new coil ,cdi,sparkplug and voltage regulator ,there is power getting to the cdi but the coil is all negative charge.

    thanks for your time guys ,the problem was the stator . there was no pulse signal from the trigger.

    after finding the stator was bad i found that it was caused by the prior owner using a ngkr spark plug instead of the normal replacement plug, apparentlly this over loads the stator excitor coil.

Sounds like you have all the right new parts. I would double check the wiring. Sounds like that is where the problem is at unless the new coil is bad.

I'm not getting fire to the plug. Coil works, has new cdi, plug, regulator, trigger pickup, battery is charged. Key switch and coil runs on another 300 hawkeye. I have 12 volts to cdi and coil.

My Jonway YY50QT-6 49cc scooter voltage regulator burned up. I changed it but cant get any fire to the plug. I also changed the coil and cdi box but still dont get any spark the plug. Need help badly!

Good chance it has blown the cdi fuse ,alot of Chinese bikes have a separate fuse for the cdi unit,if it's ok I would say the generator is fried if you have had a burned out check it for scorched wires.

This is a 1984 1200 that will not start and back fires thru the exhaust and carbs

Back fire is an indication that the bike is firing incorrectly.
Your timing chain is probably stretched, due to the year.
inproper valve timing due to stretched timing chain will make the bike backfire.

I have other thoughts like stuck valves or inproper sparkplug wires on wrong plug,
i always start with easier and less expensive method.
1st check your sparkplug wires to make sure they are on the right plug.
2nd pull sparkplugs and do compression and leakdown test.
3rd pull componets to see if valves are opening and closing, (valve clearance check)
4th if valves are good, then timing chain is probably stretched.
5th if timing chain and timing marks are good, and valves are good, then proceed to
testing the signal generator to make sure your getting a signal to the cdi,
6th if you have a signal to cdi, the cdi tells which coil to fire. either # 1&4 or # 2&3.
if signal generator is working, but coils aren't firing right then its the cdi.
obviously your coils work because its firing, just back firing.

Thats all it could be from easiest to hardest.

My 1970 honda 100 has got a problem. It starts only a few times everytime I put in a new spark plug (and even then it starts hard) then it seems to burn out the spark plag badly. What can I do to make the...

Does it still have the original sparkplug cap? If so, from it's age, the resistance
in the cap has increased past it's optimum performance. Replace the cap or
(if possible) pull the resistor out and run it direct from the coil only if it's a
points style ignition not a CDI.
The resistor cap was put on all engines back in those days so it wouldn't interfer
with radio and television transmission signals.
Now days with CDI (capassitor discharge ignition) they need resistance on
the wire or cap or both, to clean up the high voltage going to the spark
plug so it don't hurt the CDI. Running a old engine with points with no
resistance wont hurt a thing.

No spark at spark plugs so wont fire new battery all connections and grounds seem good was sitting for 3 months and ran at that time someone had turned on key and ran down the bat. so replaced but now have...

Check the coils first, leaving the key on may have burnt out part of your ignition system.
Easiest way to check coils is to pull one lead off, plug a spark plug into it. Run a hot wire from the positive side of the battery to the coil ( Do Not Plug it in!!) . If you flash the wire on and off the power side of the coil it should make a spark jump across the sparkplug ( don't forget to earth the base of the plug.)
If the coils are ok, see if you can borrow a CDI unit to try in your bike ( it is good to have mates with the same brand of bike )
Don't forget to check all fuses first and make sure the "Kill Switch" on the handlebars is on.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

The voltage on the green wire must be pulsating when cranking/starting the bike, not steady. Confirm by similarly testing the voltage on the black wire on the left ignition coil. If the green still reads a constant voltage, then the CDI is faulty; to be more specific, most likely that the switching tansistor inside the CDI that drives the right ignition coil has shorted.

The voltage on the coils is present except at the instant of firing. The interruption of the voltage is what causes the coil to fire. The cdi box is what causes the voltage interruption.
The interruption is very hard to detect. You are not the first to be stymied by that box. If you have access to an oscilloscope, I think you can see the pulse if it occurs.
