I want to know if you still can volume it down. If don't then your volume button sw for down was damaged. If still can, your cd player's memory is not functioning. Check the wiring of batt. memory back-up wire from the player, this must be connected to unswitch power supply. ( the power supply is always "ON")

Volume control

If you are trying to adjust the volume of TV audio input using the TV VOLUME control it can't be done as Yamaha explains in the instructions for your receiver. A workaround is to use the master volume control but then selection of any other source such as a CD player will blast you out of your socks.

I have the xdvd710 when i start my truck up volumn is blastin every time!!!!! how do i get it to stop?????

The dual XDDVD710 RADIO has a volume memmory (it seems), it will go to the last volume setting that it was set to, not play to,(supposly to keep it from blasting you when you turn it on and you forgat u had the volume on blast).
To set it,
1 turn radio on,
2 turn the volume to desire Level you whant it to go when you turn it on (other Levels besside BLAST hopefully) ,
3 push the volume button in, that should do it.
Now you can play your music loud and should you forget that you had it on BLAST (to over come road noise) when you last played your radio, it should start at the preset volume.

Vectra 99 CD Player Volume Problem

There is a way to set the power on volume. I'm not sure exactly how on your model but usually you would turn the volume to the desired setting and while the screen still says volume you would press and hold one of the other buttons. Just keep trying buttons. When you get the right one the display should say something like "pwrv set" or something similar. Your owners manual should help if you have it
