How do you reassemble a Capresso 560 Coffee Grinder?

Using these methods, you may reassemble a Capresso 560 coffee grinder :-
  1. Verify that the grinder is disconnected and touchably cool.
  2. Reinstall the bottom burr component.
  3. Replace the three metal balls and three springs under the burr.
  4. Replace the bottom burr piece with a screw.
  5. Change the T10 11.59mm screw.
  6. Put the green wire back where it was.
  7. Change the washer and metal retainer.
  8. Put the hopper back where it belongs.
  9. To check that the grinder is operating correctly, turn it on and ground some coffee beans.
Here are some extra pointers :-
  • Take care not to misplace any of the tiny components. Before tightening the screws, make sure the grinder is correctly positioned.
  • You can take the grinder to a trained technician if you don't feel comfortable reassembling it.

The bean container/hopper on my Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder is stuck and can no longer be rotated in either direction or removed from the body. Can anyone help me unseat it?

Grinders that are used daily, especially those in coffee shops will eventually wear out. The fine settings for espresso (or even finer for Turkish grind) will wear out the plates even faster. I've seen burrs needing replacement in 3-6 months for coffee shops. Burrs set on this fine position that do not grind or stop usually means a worn burr or gummed up plate. (especially with oily beans). Either problem requires the removal of the burr set and complete disassembly of the grinder. It sounds like your '1st' problem was corrected by permanently 'affixing' the burrs to a set position and now not able to remove them without causing more damage. I did the same to an old grinder I got from the swap meet. But alas, the plastic collar cracked completely and can't be repaired. well got 1 year's worth of use and it was cheap.

Why does ground coffee not go thru shoot

If using Beans; it is set to fine and due to static it sticks - OR you have a blockage..

If you are putting ground coffee into a grinder; the static will be a bigger issue and in addition there is no weight from the beans to press the grinds into the burrs. A bean grinder is not ment to grind beans that have already been ground.

Get a better grinder and do not buy supermarket beans.

Hmm, I have Capresso Infinity Burr Grinder #560, and I accidentally placed the upper burr back in upside down. Now it is stuck. I do not see the "black section with a long slot" around the blade.

Yes! I had the same issue with putting the burr in upside down and then twisting it an effectively "locking" it in there incorrectly. I tried the "knife" solution that worked for some people here, but it was placing the bean container back on and twisting counter clockwise that did the trick!

So glad I found this thread and didn't give up trying to fix my burr grinder (which we love).

I accidentally placed the upper burr in upside down. Now it is wedged in and I can't get it out. Any suggestions?

I've posted this in a few other places on this site (there are many ways to ask the same question), but try putting the clear bean container back on and untwisting as if to unlock it -- the problem isn't just that we put the upper burr in upside down, but then we locked it into place with the bean container. More info at http://www.fixya.com/support/t4009992-upper_burr_stuck_upside_down or try Capresso at 800.220.5701.

Spring loaded ball bearings - does the ball bearing sit on top of the spring or below the spring??

The ball bearing is a check valve. The ball should be in the input side of the water with the spring underneath.
