That model has a 5-in-1 card reader that does include the xD cards, so it shouldn't have caused too much strife... I'm wondering if the card was either inserted upside down or at a slight angle enough to cause a couple of the contacts to be bent. It's possible that is causing a false reading for an inserted card in the reader. I'd try to get into the BIOS at power-on and reset the boot order to be hard drive FIRST. It almost sounds like the machine is trying to boot off of a card that really isn't there instead of the HD.

Cannot get memory card into camera

F460 uses Xd picture card format. Obsruction to the "Insert/eject" mechanism is probable cause. Card inserted incorrectly? Removed incorrectly? Replace card slot. Probably not cost effective though.

Yes it is possible. There is a memory card slot, from that you can easily import photos in Windows and then print them to your printer.

My Fuji xd card wont fit into slot of my Toshiba Satellite C660-1LD

That means your Toshiba's slot is not designed for that particular card. Go buy a card reader that handles many different sizes and formats for less than $20 and it plugs into your usb port.

Try this site at the link below and when it comes up just type: USB XD Card Reader in the white search box at the top and press GO.

You can sort the results from most popular which is shown first to Prices Low to High.

try look the ram module pins support, if any pin broken, or defective, to correct this you need a small tool to put it back on place. (only with power off and battery off). if some pins has not the right place, the computer dont boot.

Xd picture card

You will need to do a firmware update to be able to use your new 'M' XD card. Also you will need a AC adapter to be able to use the update for your camera.
It is a Fuji site and it works.
Good luck.

You just need to insert a Memory card supported by your laptop in that slot and it will automatically show up on your My Computer as a removable drive.
