Question about Lexmark Optra SC 1275 Laser Printer
Everytime i print something there seems to be a oily residue on the paper, follows to the next sheet and looks like the print is being smeared to the following pages. What do you think is the problem?
Lexmarks use a silicone oil cleaning pad on top of the fuser, try to locate a door on top towards the rear, take it out you might see a long black piece, when you take it out it has a felt on the bottom it is used to clean excess toner off the fuser it should be replaced everytime you change your toner ( usually comes w/the toner).
