Question about Dishwashers

Frigidaire dishwasher gldb957js0

I believe this unit to be stuck in a diagnostic mode.

wash cycle is off,it will wash for an hour, switch to rinse for 45 minutes, light is lit for rinse although it appears to be drying (steam flows from vents) light for "drying" never lights up,it just skips to "clean".

No other option buttons work nor do they light when pushed, tech sheet is missing.

Is there a combination of buttons to push to reset the control, or will removing from power supply reset the control.

Any help is appreciated.

Try hitting 'heat dry' 'normal' 'heat dry' 'normal' should light up all the lights then go into test cycle washes, Once it finishes test, about 10 mins all should be good.

Try disabling power for 10 minutes, if reoccurs must likely error is moisture from vent area has migrated to control board. you will to dis assembly door, replce control board and then isolate the board with a foam seal and plastic top prevent future occurance. I would suggest leaving to a techncian unless you are a four hammer personnality. Hope this helps

I have a frigidaire FMB1100RHMO and first i was having a water problem and then i got the clog out. I have water pressure now but now it get stuck in the wash mode and dont come out unless i cancel it....

Hello Theresa Norman-Ramirez - Typically, it is normal for the dishwasher to delay the cycle and depending on the cycle and options selected, the cycle may last up to 4 hours. To reduce cycle time, turn on the hot water at the sink and allow it to get as hot as possible (between 120 F-130 F), then start the dishwasher. If the dishwasher cycle runs longer than 4 hours the main control board may need replacing. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause.

Kenmore dishwasher model #665 15872000 is stuck on time saver option for washing and I can't get it to switch to any of the other options such as normal wash

Similar Kenmore Dishwasher 665.18664000. Time saver and Quick rinse were the only programs that would run. I pressed "high temp scrub" then "air dry" then "high temp scrub" then "air dry" and the machine went into a diagnostic mode and counted down from 10 while running a series of tests. After about 10 minutes and various test cycles the machine reset and the "normal wash" light had come back on. If this doesn't work then you may have a problem with the controller which other threads have mentioned replacing yourself for about $120.

The dishwasher would wash and wash and wash. It will not go on to the next cycle. If you put it on the rinse cycle, it still rinses and does not stop. We had a tech in. He changed the entire control...

Check the mechanism that activates the washer when the door is closed, the issue may be that the cycles are being interrupted. This dishwasher is notorious for having issues, so it may be better to get a new one if the issue persist.

Hobart LXIH stuck in Wash mode after running multiple loads. Shutting off breaker for several hours fixes problem until multiple loads have been run again and then it is once more stuck in Wash mode.

How long does it stay in the wash cycle? Indefinitely? Does the display continuously show "WASH"?. If it stays in the wash cycle indefinitely (i.e. continuously shows "WASH" for significantly beyond approx. 3 minutes), it's probably a control board malfunction. If it continues to wash after the "WASH" indicator goes out, it could be a shorted wash motor relay on the relay board or a fauly control board.

If the internal rinse water booster heater doesn't reach it's programmed setpoint temperature in time, the dishwasher will run an extended wash cycle to give the booster heater more time to finish heating the rinse water. If this is what's happening, the wash cycle would last approximately 3 minutes, then it would rinse regardless of whether the booster heater has finished heating or not.

The booster temperature thermistor may be bad, giving a false booster temperature reading, causing an extended wash cycle as described above. The booster heater elements or contactor may be bad, preventing the booster heater from heating and reaching proper temperature, also causing the same extended wash cycle to give the booster more time to heat.

My sr24h hobart undercounter dishwasher is stuck in a mode where all it does is drain water out. Will not do anything else...???

Hello There; If your unit stuck on the wash cycle and not advance to rinse cycle because the rinse water is not up to 180 degree . You've to check out the booster element and the rinse temp. I hope this will help.

Dishwasher gets stuck on the rinse cycle right after the light wash, I have had to manually click past this point in the wash cycle twice...

Try turning off the high temp wash. I had a similar problem and found that the thermostat is bad. Turning off the high temp wash bypasses the high temp thermostat.
