Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Sincerelly if you are not technician inclined, the cheapest and cost effective option for you is to buy an external battery charger for your NDSL like the one in this link (just as example, not the cheapest option or like I'll get money for that).
The second option is to pay a technician for the repair. Not the one you would like as you are finding answers here.
Now the technician option, this problem need a replacement jack and some technician soldering skills, not too difficult but you will need some expertise and tools like a small thomson 3 windings screwdriver, philips and blade precision screwdrivers, a 15 watts pencil soldering iron and maybe some pliers to take out the broken jack and put a new mini USB, Surface Mounting Device jack in place being careful not to provoque a short circuit caused by bad solders (may need a cheap DMM to test continuity also).
You need to be very careful as you only need to ge out the battery and open the bottom part of your DS, disconect the top LCD flexible lifting the brown lock, and the other two coax wires pulling em up to have access to the PCB securelly without damaging anything else. You can find some videos of dissasembling the NDSL over the net.
After opening it just neet to take the bad part and solder the replacement, connect all and close the unit, testing it before you put the screws.
