My dyson has just stopped. I have changed the fuse and still can not get it to work.

Hi Emma, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you've had difficulty with your machine. Like most Dyson vacuums, DC25 is engineered to shut itself down for protection if it starts to overheat, and it sounds like this may have happened to your machine. This will usually be due to a blockage, or because the filters are overdue for a wash. The machine should automatically reset after it's cooled down, which could take 2-3 hours.

In normal use, we recommend washing both filters at least once every three months, as shown in the video attached. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for the filters to dry completely somewhere warm before replacing them.

It's also worth checking your machine for any blockages by following the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc25/dc25-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-suction

If you would like some further advice after you've given this a try, please call the Dyson customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US) or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

What is the best way to clean my waterbed?

I'm using a slightly wet cloth with a surface cleaning material (which has a nice smell) and gently wash the mattress from both sides. After that I let it dry outside for a couple of hours and that's about it.

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. If the machine shut off during use, it may have overheated due to a blockage - the filter may also need a wash.

To check for any blockages, please follow the steps shown in our online Support guide:

Dyson DC07 Animal is still picking up but not as it should and every now and then is leaving a trail of fluff behind on the carpet. I have checked all the nooks and cranies that I know if but cannot find...

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC07. From your description, it does sound as if the cleaner may have a blockage somewhere, so perhaps you missed something when checking previously. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/help.asp?article=4&product=DC07-ANIMAL

It's also a good idea to give the filter a wash - in normal use, this should be done at least once every 3-6 months. Use cold water without detergent. Leave to dry in a warm place for 24 hours - do not dry the filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, oven or near a ***** flame, and ensure the filters are completely dry before replacing in the machine. For guidance on washing the filter, please see the video below.

Following these steps should enable you to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've been unable to do this, please get in touch with us directly so we can help - you can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Jack

Flashing lights.

The Flashing lights indicate several different things. 1 flashing red light means its time to charge your unit. if it is still flashing after charging then you will more than likely need to change the battery. A flashing red and green light means that the unit is overheating which could happen if the filters need to be washed, or that there is a blockage or if your machine has been left in direct sunlight. Allow 1 hour for machine to cool down. 3 flashing lights indicated that the pre-filter has been put on incorrectly. I hope this helps. If you do decide to wash your filter dont use any type of soap it is not needed and allow fiter to dry for atleast 24 hours. putting a wet or damp filter in will damage your machine.

I washed my LG phone in the washing machine, what can I do?

Hello,

The first step is to leave your phone alone! DO NOT try to turn your wet cell phone on. Turning on your wet phone can permanently damage the circuitry.

Next step is find a bag of rice, preferably white. White rice can absorbs the most water. Ensure that you have enough bag of rice to completely submerge your wet cell phone.

Now, place your wet cell phone into the bag of rice. Place the phone in the middle of the bag so that you can no longer see your wet cell phone.

Next, place your bag of rice in a dry and warm place. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car on a hot day.

Leave your bag of rice to sit for several hours. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car for 8 hours. After time has elapsed, you can finally pull out your cell phone and try to turn on your phone.

Good luck!

if the clothes are not getting warm at all, heater element needs to be replaced. if they are getting warm, you need to check filter, exhaust tube and out side outlet for blockage

Shuts off after about 10 mins.

Hi!  This is the sign of a machine that is overheating, and almost certainly is caused by a partial blockage.  You need to check all the pipework and make sure the washable filter is clean (if you wash the filter, use only clean cold water, no detergent, and let it dry in a warm place for at least 12 hours, do not force-dry). I hope this helps.  I value your feedback, so please remember to rate this response. Good luck!
