Is it a pirated game? If you baught it or made it your self, don't watse your time. Because it won't read it. Now if it's not that, has the psp fallen down on the floor? If so, you may of had broken a connection on the inside of the psp. For that (if you have warranty) you can letSony fix it for you. Just tell them what the problem is. And if you do not have warranty, well I guess it's a new psp.

Hope this helps.

The games won't play, it just says disc error

There's one of four reasons for this issue:

1. Dirty laser. You can try cleaning the UMD laser inside of the system with a QTip and alcohol [91% recommended].

2. Bad game -- double check the game and make sure the casing is OK and the disc itself isn't scratched or dirty inside of the casing. DO NOT EVER REMOVE THE CASING.

3. Bad laser -- the laser could have simply gone bad. It happens.

4. Bad motherboard -- it's rare, but sometimes something on the motherboard goes, either a fuse or sensor, whereby even a good laser won't read games. The following website can diagnose it and/or repair it for you for a little over $50:

Unable to read disc message. I put the game disc into the WII and it won't play. Keep getting a 'Unable to read disc message for any game disc that I try to insert.

This can be caused by a dirty laser in the drive. Try cleaning the laser with a q-tip and alcohol. If this does not fix the problem, the laser may need to be replaced. Contact Nintendo and see if the unit is still under warranty.

My psp does not read any games what do i do

First, check the discs for scratches. If there are any, there is your problem. Remove the battery. Then, clean the laser lens with a very fine textured cloth, moistened with rubbing alcohol. Leave the UMD drive open to let it air dry for 5 minutes. Reinsert the battery, power on, and everything should work. If not, your lens are broken and you will need to install a replacement.

Psp Disc can not be read

Hi Mdorsey,

You probaly have something jamming the Laser fro moving. Sometimes you can clear this by forcing the laser to move some. You will hear it click a few times. Once you click it a few time on way or another. Try a UMD to see if that fixed it.
