I have forgotten password to open tally45 from lenovo think pad

You can reset forgotten Windows password with 3 methods below:

1. Another valid administrator account which can normally log on.

2. A password reset disk or a repair disc, which is created in advance ( before you lost password ).

3. Third-party software to create a bootable password reset CD/DVD or USB, like Windows Password Reset

In the top left of the screen appears a padlock, apparently requests a password or something like that, I can unlock it? Thank you

Your machine has a Supervisor password enabled. It is usualy the last 4 digits of the serial no of the laptop. If that doesn't work then the other thing you can try is to remove the BIOS battery and reset the BIOS.

You will need to open up your laptop. The laptop CMOS battery is shown below.
slasher_x_47.jpg
Disconnect it for 15-30 minutes or more, then reinsert it and the data in the BIOS memory should be reset. If at first it doesn't work, try to remove the battery overnight. Once the battery has been reinserted power up the PC and see if the reset was successful.

Hi, If you are talking about the Boot, HDD, Bios password, then the only one way to recover it is to implement a chip on the systemboard to shorcut the protection or to contact Lenovo for a systemboard replacement. Otherwise you can check out theses 2 tutorials, with few skill you can make it yourself: -http://www.allservice.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47&start=0 -http://marc.info/?l=full-disclosure&m=111234041830357&w=2 Unfortunalty, no other ways other round. Have a think pad 600 type 2645 with eo301 error, there is a display of a padlock w/ no1 and a blinking cursor on the top left corner

This laptop is protected with a Power on Password.
The password is setup from the BIOS configuration.
There is no backdoor password available and you need the password to boot up the laptop. Once you can boot up the laptop you can enter the BIOS configuration to remove the Power on password.
Removing the BIOS battery to restore the factory defaults will not remove the password because the password is stored on an EEPROM chip.

My IBM Thinkpad is not switching on?

The error message relates to the date and time setting in the BIOS, it has a wrong due to a flat BIOS battery. The needs to be replaced and the date and time corrected,
The padlock symbol indicates the laptop's BIOS has been set with a password and you cannot enter and change the BIOS settings without this password.

Replace the BIOS battery with a new one, then boot up and enter your BIOS password, then change the time & date, then save and exit.
