Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player

1 Answer

The screen will not turn on. Nothing works.

Well, a while back I got a Sansa Model e260 mp3 player. It worked brilliantly for a while but then I dropped it. I know that sounds like a huge problem but I dropped it from no more than 1.5, maybe 2 feet, and it landed in a pile of clothes, it was about the softest landing possible. I thought since the battery was low maybe it just needed to be recharged. The problem now is that when I hook it up to my PC to charge, the blue ring used to adjust volume and other things lights up, but then the sreen later wont light up. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hello chrisanimefan here.
I was having same problem with my sansa   it cut off while was  lieing  down listing to radio function couldnt get back to libary of regular  music so i rebooted it and  woul'nt come on. The  solution will be to hold  the power on  for about 32-72 seconds. This has happened when i  droped my mp3 as well from  couch to floor so  really no harm could have been done to it they are preety  durable. So just  hold on the power for a bit i tryed it and worked perfect thanks to the posters here.  Thanks by the  way thos who posted i tryed holding 20 sec  then gave up till i read your post's.

Zune can only do unprotected content from ITunes, and i don't know how much is unprotected

iTunes only works with iPod generally

stick with Sansa? if you posted this is the right section, your Sansa should not be compatible with iTunes

Frozen screen

You have to reset the mp3. All you have to do is turn it on and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, or until it shuts off itself. And if that doesn't work you can unskrew the skrews at the back and take out teh battery pack for one second, and put ti right back. That way it would reset on itself and nothing will go missing...

Good luck =)

My Sansa E260's screen is white and it won't turn off

After leaving it on all night and running the battery down I plugged it back in, it charged and everything is working fine. The morale of this story is, don't unplug it from the computer while it is in use.
