Software download

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said at first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Show me a video how to insert polaroid one 600 camera batteries

The battery is built into the photo pack, so when you load a fresh photo pack from The Impossible Project, you get a fresh battery. Photo packs are and always have been expensive, so this guarantees you don't end up with a flat battery halfway through a photo pack. Note that all original Polaroid manufactured photo packs are now so long out of date that they all have flat (or very nearly so) batteries; you should only use them in specially modified cameras using an external 4.5v dc power supply, but even then you may find that the photo chemicals are so old that they do not perform as expected (if at all).

A video showing you how to load the photo pack on any typical 600 series Polaroid camera is here if you need it., courtesy of Kaituba on YouTube.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

How do I download my pictures without the cd

Usually you don't need any special software to download photos from most digital cameras. Try connecting your camera to the computer with the USB cable and then going to My Computer and seeing if the camera shows up as an additional device or hard drive on your system. If so, you can just manually copy or move the photos from the camera to the computer. You can also use free software such as Irfanview. to copy or move the photo files from your camera to your computer, and to view and edit your photos on the computer.

You can also remove the SD memory card from the camera and then put it in a memory card reader on your computer, and copy the files that way. If your computer doesn't have a built-in SD memory card reader you can buy one - they are very inexpensive, under $20 and available at most computer and camera stores. Just make sure you get one for "SD Memory Cards".

Couldn't find software for an i834 but you can get it for an i832 here:
http://www.polaroid.com/service/software_download.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441765977&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302035007&bmUID=1198237407921&bmLocale=en_US

If they are similar it might well work. Otherwise, go to the Polaroid site for your country & email them.
