DVD is not reading any disc

DVD is not reading any disc, Can't upload software to fix because its continues to try to read a disc that is not there.

This can be either two things:
1. The glass eye laser lens inside player is dirty and needs to be cleaned with cotton swab and a little rubbing alcohol.
2. The motor for the laser eye is shot and is not reading and will have to be repaired or replaced.

- If it is new, that you should have a warranty and should return or exchange it.
