Clutch problem I have a JD 2020 aprox. 1971. The clutch pedal shaft seems to bind internally, does not matter if it is running or not. Clutch still works, but has a binding feeling.

did you replace the pilot bearing do you have a good pedal, if the pedal is good your pilot bearing could be binding up on the input shaft not letting the shaft stop

2004 dodge ram 1500 with the 3.7L V6 5 speed manual. The truck drives and shifts fine but after driving for a while it won't be able to shift into or out of any gear.

the reason for hard shifting and selection when running is that the clutch shaft ( input shaft) is still turning even though the clutch pressure plate is released
it can be from oil/grease on the fly wheel /pressure plate face causing it to stick when hot
it may be from sticking clutch plate on the splines binding when hot
or it could be a dry spigot bush or failed bearing in the end of the crankshaft that positions the clutch shaft
check the pedal height adjustment and the position it is from the floor when starting to engage
It may be adjustment under the dash

Drive shaft does not turn on my 1971 torino

when the rear is jacked up is it the wheels that turn only with no drive shaft movement. does the drive shaft turn when the rear wheels are off the ground. Does the drive shaft turn when you have it in neutral with you foot on the clutch and the rear wheels off the ground
The purpose of the questions is to establish whether the pinion and crown wheel in the diff are seized or if the main shaft and clutch shaft in the gear box are seized.

1998 Corvette with manual transmission. when letting clutch pedal out, car stalls every time either in 1st or reverse

Give it more gas before letting the clutch out? Release the parking brake? Check for binding brake/parking brake parts if brake is released? Dammaged differential?

20004 Saturn i am having shifting problems will not go into gear smoothly,if at all . 5th gear in nearly impossible to find with out grinding . Is it the shifter ,clutch or clutch pedal not engaging?

Possible causes are: The clutch is going out, the hydraulic clutch system is low on fluid, or the transmission input shaft is binding on the pilot bearing. 1. Is the pedal firm and does it feel like it used to? (low fluid). 2. Once in gear and moving push on clutch and notice when the transmission disengages. If it does not disengage until the pedal is almost at the top then the clutch is getting thin and will need replacing. 3. With vehicle on a smooth flat surface, depress clutch and try to shift into any and all gears. Notice if vehicle tries to lurch forward as shifter goes into gear. This may be a subtle lurch but should be noticeable. This checks for a binding pilot bushing. Let me know what you find. Thanks and please rate.

Clutch will not go down

A "hard" clutch is also a common problem. All clutches require some amount of force to depress fully. If you have to press hard on the pedal, there may be something wrong. Sticking or binding in the pedal linkage, cable, cross shaft, or pivot ball are common causes. Sometimes a blockage or worn seals in the hydraulic system can also cause a hard clutch.

There is no pressure in the clutch of my 2006 Suzuki Forenza.

Cable Operated Clutch:
Stretched, frayed or binding cable, broken or bent pedal bracket, or cracked firewall can be the cause. Problems with a cable mechanism will often herald internal clutch problems as well. When something happens inside the clutch that requires extra force to be exerted on the clutch pedal, things break! Cables can also wear simply from age and use.
Hydraulically Operated Clutch:
Clutch master cylinder leaking or bypassing pressure, slave cylinder leaking, clutch flex hose leaking, pedal bushings worn or missing, or a cracked firewall can reduce the system’s ability to disengage the clutch. Rule of thumb: If the clutch master cylinder is bad, replace both master and slave cylinders as a pair. This will save you future heartache.

Wobbling of car while accelerating

the u joints in the drive shaft. (CV joints on front wheel drive) more strss on the joints when accelerating so they cause the vibration. no stress/load smooth run. Replace the joints and you'll feel a big difference.
