Try a signal booster from radioshack. That might keep it in. Take the TV with you and let them give you the right adapter. Hope this helps. Thats what I would do.

If you switch your tv of at the plug the software cant do the updates. Leave the tv in standby over night and that should work.
If you do leave it on standby but still losing channels contact goodmans as you may need an update of the software

My goodmans tv switched itself off and won't work

Make sure that the electricity is working
Make sure that every connection is in place the
scart connection as well.
Disconnect and wait for 2-5 minutes
and connect and start.

If that does not work look for troubleshooing in the manual or click on the name of your TV here at the top of the page.
good luck

I'm afraid I don't have the solution but a very similar problem, although I just get the speaker crackle, rather than any problems with the picture/the TV turning off.

Did you manage to resolve it?

My standby light flashes red/blue? and no pic,its only weeks old

I would take it back and get a replacement, it is a lemon, it will void warranty if you open it up. It can be defctive power supply module.

Goodmans GLCD32WDVBT keeps turning itself off after 5 minutes

Sorry this don't seem like a settings fault but possibly a power supply fault I think before you send it back to the ebay seller you should weight up the cost of this telly on ther retail market and the cost of repalcement with the possible repair cost you could still have a bargain maybe not the one you hoped for but a bargain never the less from what you say if it actualy stays on for 5 minutes before shutting down the problem is not major , just a component heating by the sound of it ?. You could always get a free estimate for the repair and find out what it is and then send it back if it is too exspensive .. if you check the terms and conditions of ebay and the returns conditions this may be a positive course of action and it will tell you how much time you have to return it ... hope this helps Regards .. Tv not turning on from standby goodmans lcd 32"

problem is with power board, it seems a problem that is endemic to these sets, you can sometimes manage to reset by unplugging set for 30 mins repowering and sometimes it will come back on otherwise look at replacing board

Goodmans 1430R TV (bought 10 years ago) switched off in middle of program by itself and no longer works.

Oh come on man the sets tired!!!LOL no really you got plenty of use out of this bugger. Your problem sounds like something opened in the power supply and since the sets all solid state theres no user serviceable parts inside them. If you really wanted to put cash into a 10 year old set for an estimate/? i would not . But if you like the set go for it. Good luck
