Laptop sony vaio freezes without the memory stick inserted
Hi, i have a sony vaio PCG-K25F laptop, and the problema is that it won't start without the memory stick inserted in the slot; or, if i remove it, it'll just freeze.
Re: Laptop sony vaio freezes without the memory stick...
Try to copy the whole content of your memory stick to directory C:Windows/System32 and restart it. Or try to put your booting priotity (Used to be by pressing 'Esc' key several timesduring start up).

I have this laptop (the PCG-632L). My laptop shiped with the "Vaio Notebook Quick Start" manual for the "PCG-R505 series". You could seach the Internet for this manual instead of the "PCG-632L" manual. The manual says "quick start," but it goes into slightly more detail than the average "quick start" manual (such as changing RAM).
Hi astraspirit2. The Sony Vaio PCG-F190 uses 66MHz type memory and usually ships from Sony with 32/64MB of RAM. The Vaio PCG-F190 supports up to 192MB of RAM.
Most laptops have the memory compartment (at least the expansion socket or both) at the bottom. Flip the computer and you will see a little compartment (sometimes it even has a little chip logo). You will need a phillips #0 or #1 screwdriver. It's really simple, you insert the memory in the socket at an angle and then push it towards the laptop. I hope this helps.
