Look to see if something is caught in tyour condensor fan. If not you might need to replace the fan. Its real easy. You might even find a cheap fan motor on ebay. Hope this helps

Lub and clean bearings on fan or replace it.

Inexpensive. Take the motor out , match it up at an electricial supply house, taking all the data on the AC unit you can find, Either remove the fan bades from the motor yourself or have the electricial shop/supply house do it or match it up for a new fan also. I would guess the maxuium for a new motor and fan $50.00 if you do it yourself. IF taking it in 100 labor and the same $50 for parts. This is just a guess.

I have a IOTA DLS 45 that is making strange sounds. The strange sound is variable and stops altogether at times. Is it the fan that would be making this noise? If not what else could it be?

About the only thing that could make noise is the cooling fan. Does it sound louder when you've just hooked up and started charging the batteries? When you've got a lot of things drawing 12v DC power? Only other noise might be arcing by a short circuit or crackling of a fire!! ;)

Burning plastic smell when cold out run heater and fan inside car and out

Are you loosing radiator fluid. sometimes the heater core will rupture and you will smell burn odor. also check for strange rubbing sounds or screeching coming from the blower fan motor. or engine exhaust manifolds are hot when car is on, make sure nothing is leaning on them which will cause a burn odor. Any odor coming from outside will find it's way inside through the fresh air vents.

Why is the inside fan is not running and hearing a gurgling sound with the outside unit still running?

The gurgling sound sounds like freon is flowing thru the system pipes. Is the larger of the 2 copper tubes running cold to the touch? Hi-Low module make also be the problem. It tells the inside fan when to turn off and on.

Bottom Oven Fan on Whirlpool AKP951 not working properly

Sounds like the fan is locking up and not turning all the time. If it is a howling sound the fan will have to be replaced.

Is the fan on the outside unit supposed to turn when the heat is on or only for the air conditioner? Our unit is omitting a strange odor and the fan will not move even if we switch the unit to air...

The outside fan is used when ever the compresser needs to be cooled. So depending upon the outside temp as well as the temp of the refrigeration, it may not come on. When you say "our unit is ommiting a strange odor" are you refering to the outside condenser? or from the air handler? and what does it smell like? Turned on AC was running fine. 30 minutes later began to hear a strange noise. Opened AC/Furnance closet & heard a sound best described as air letting out of a tire. It seemed to be coming from...

Hi!!

This means that the condenser fan motor (outside unit) failed, this caused to build hi pressure and either activated a safety valve to release the extra pressure or blew a line and R22 Refrigerant escaped from system.

The fix is to replace motor fan and capacitor find the leak and refill system with R22 Refrigerant Gas. It is safe to turn on the Fan Only mode on the Thermostat until a HVAC Tech arrives.
To perform this job parts and labor included will cost: about $300 -.$400. Look on the Yellow Pages for a Tech in your neighborhood.

It sounds like your condenser fan motor may be locked up or the capacitor that helps give the condenser fan motor a kick to get it started may be defective. Try turning your system on and using a long screwdriver try to push the fan blade on the condenser fan motor to see if it will run normally if you give it the starting boost it needs. If it does run at full speed and doesn't over heat or start and then slow down then you probably only need to replace a simple 10-12$ capacitor. If it barely turns, makes an odd humming sound or overheats etc. then you will have to replace the condenser fan motor. This is assuming that the outdoor condenser has the 220v supplied and the 24v supplied to the compressor relay, that the compressor relay is engaged and suppling 220v to the condenser fan motor.

Computer making strange noise

This is not a problem most people experience this. Its just your fan making noise monstly because it is touching some wire inside. You don't need to worry about this.
