lack of engine oil or coolant would be a start. sugar or sand in the fuel. the computer won't allow over revving of the engine so it has to be mechanical damage through a failure of a component if none of the above has happened.
After changing oil on 99 and newer Chevy truck and SUV, there will be your oil change light flashing. just sit in vehicle close door, put seat belt on then turn key on but don't start. then withing 10 sec push and release gas pedal fully then message will appear saying oil change indicator reset. there you go.
Milky oil is usually caused from condensation from some where either antifreeze getting in, or if you are doing a lot of short drives where the engine doesn't get a chance to come up to full temperature. If there is water in your oil it will cause your knocking sound. I would change the oil and put in some fresh and see what happens.
your looking at basic science here, antifreeze is a combination of water, sugar, and isopro. All of which lowers the general temp at which it will freeze. Key ingredient is water. Oil is well oil with a cocktail of god knows what brand you have, key ingredient is oil. Oil displaces water....so if you put antifreeze in it will push into whatever gap, crack it can find, and or make its owns, since most gaskets are made to seal oil, i wouldn't put my money on it sealing antifreeze...if you already did this...drain and flush ASAP and then smack yourself upside the head.
please tell me you have not been driving around after finding sugar in the tank,cos if you have, and the sugar has gone right through the system, it is going to cost you thousands......new tank/new fuel lines.new carb or injectors,even pistons and valves.....(what happens when you put sugar on a spoon and heat it.....)ive got to say it, HOW STUPID.
The only thing i can tell you is to get all the gas you can out of the tank, even if it means droping the tank. Then blow out the fuel line, install new filter, fill up with new gas with a fuel additive that cleans injectors and run it. I believe the worst that can happen is clog up the injectors, witch may not happen if you just run it. Depending on how much sugar was put in it.
How do you know if its got sugar in it? I dought it trashed the engine unless they poured it in the oil too. Drop the fuel tank and clean it out, take fuel filter off and thro away, blow out the fuel line put new filter on put tank back in fill with new gas and an additive of some sorts that can clean the injectors and run it. Thats the best i can tell you to do.
its usually up next to oil filter or behind crankshaft pulley.if you have a 4 cylinder engine you have to move oil filter to get to it. if you got a v6 or v8 engine.remove pulley harmonic balancer.
