You can download the newest versions of the JVC software or drivers in the Customer Support area of JVC site. You particular camera model may not be listed so please look for the name of the program you are looking for.
The Newsoft software is not design to download images from JVC camcorders to your PC. This software is included with JVC products to provide our customers with an editing tool. (using Newsoft programs you can touch up pictures, create albums or slide shows) To download images from the camcorder to the PC, you will need to use the provided JVC software Picture Navigator, JLIP Video Capture, or the USB connection depending on the model of your camera. Consult the above chart to determine which software you received with your camera.
You will need third party hardware and software in order to transfer moving video from your camera to your PC. Depending on what camera you have, a few different options are available to you. The following manufacturers firewire products were tested with JVC camcorders: Pinnacle Systems, Belkin, Orange Micro, Digital Origin, Ratoc . Please be advised that compatibility of JVC camera with firewire card may also depends on your particular computer specifications/hardware settings. Even though we tested the above hardware and bundled software there will be always exceptions and JVC doesn’t guarantee that computer, firewire card and JVC camcorder will interface flawlessly in everybody case.
In order to connect your GR-D70US to your USB port, you must insert an MMC or SD memory card into the camera, however neither of these cards is included with the GR-D70US, and the card must be purchased separately. You may contact the JVC parts department at 1-800-882-2345 or visit the JVC online accessory store to purchase a MMC or SD memory card. Some local retailers may also carry these memory cards.
