- Thanks for the help. This keyboard is somewhat different than the one in Gateways diagram. The part number on the listed on the back of the keyboard is: AAHB5040G100K1 The strip at the top is narrow and I found three small screws on the back side. I noticed when I tried to pry it up it would not give in the middle so I looked on the backside and found the screws. Is a replacement keyboard available?

You could buy a plug in keyboard with a usb connector. I find this better than typing on the laptop, as I no longer get neck pains from looking down at an angle .. you can raise the lap top and keep the keyboard on the desk.
