Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

My Xbox freezes every once in a while, and has started up more recently when this probelm has started. When I go onto xbox live it is just slow to do things. At first I thought it was my internet but I took my xbox to my frineds house and his xbox worked fine and mine didn't. We even tried to switch hard drives. It seems it is my xbox that is the problem. This is strange because when I try to play lan it seems to work just fine although I haven't really got into playing it I'm more annoied on the lobby screen where it takes forever to load things online. I know it looks like its just a connection probelm but I know from taking it to my frineds house that it is a probelm with the xbox itself

I stopped using it for awhile because I have been busy with school. I still don't use it often but all of the sudden it has been working normally. All I have changed is I put a wireless adaptor on it that i got from my frined for all cheap. I don't think the wireless adaptor made it work because when I first put it on it was doing the same thing. I just left it on and a few days later it started working normally. Although it is working fine I would still like to know what the probllme may be.

Xbox live lag

This could happen for many reasons. It could be other people using up all you internet. If possible connect your xbox directly to your router or modem and see if that fixes the problem. If not use speedtest.net and see if the speed you are getting is what you are paying for.

How can I update my xbox 360 system

To update on Xbox LIVE:
  1. Connect your Xbox 360 console to the internet. If your console is not connected already, see Connect to Xbox LIVE.
  2. On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network if you are prompted to do so.
  5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
  6. Select Yes if you are prompted to update console software.
Copy the Update to a USB Flash Drive If you don't have an Xbox LIVE account or have a slow Internet connection, using a USB flash drive is a good option.
Note: The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
Update using a USB flash drive:
  1. Connect your USB flash drive to a USB port on your computer.
  2. Click here to begin downloading the update folder. Save it as "$SystemUpdate9199.zip" anywhere on your computer.
  3. Unzip the File.
  4. Copy the contents from the unzipped folder onto the root of your flash drive.
  5. Safely remove the flash drive from your computer and plug it into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. If your console is on, turn it off, then back on. The update program will start automatically.
  6. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the console software.

My friend brought over his memory pack and disconnected mine but when it came time to attach mine my avatar wasn't there and when i tried to go customize it a warning sign popped up and said you need to...

It is a compulsary update for your Xbox 360 system so it can support the feature you are trying to do. So you really might want to join to Xbox Live by creating an Xbox Live account and by signing in to Xbox Live, it will automatically install the latest firmware to update your system.

Bought Lips recently and played it fine first

The game was released broken. There is an update on xbox live that fixes it. So you pay twice, once for the game and once for xbox live. If you don't have xbox live or no internet you simply can't play. In other words you got robbed. Nice scam huh?

My ebox just deleted my entire profile

Just use the "Recover Profile" option on the dashboard.

NOTE: This only works if your connected to Xbox Live and the profile has been recently Synced with The Xbox live Servers So No Live=No Profile Recovery.
The Recover Gamertag function is on the same side bar where you login to a profile..

After your Xbox starts hit the Xbox button on your controller and 'Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live' should be right under 'Create New Profile'..

Once you select 'Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live' it will walk you through the steps required..
or
I would suggest you to visit the forum and discuss your problem http://forums.xbox.com/

MY XBOX 360 NBA LIVE 09 KEEPS FREEZING UP ON ME. PLEASE HELP ME OUT THANK YOU

Try playing your game without Xbox live at first. If it doesn't freeze up, then you have an internet connection problem. Try reconnecting wires. If it does freeze up without Xbox live, it may just be the game.

Xbox 360 Freezing Problems

Shutting off the Xbox corrupted the Hard Drive... Have you ever got a Live System Update? You can also reset your Xbox without shutting it off using the controller. You probably have the Three Red Rings of Death... Go to this...

We had new cable company installed and we had to use a router. We cannot get on xbox live

go onto the connection page on your xbox and then do find connection or anything related to testing connection. once you find it, whatever you named you router on your computer will show up there. once connected, do a connection test and look for any updates. update them and then turn of you xbox. turn it back on. REMEMBER...only games that say Xbox live on the top of the box will work. then start playing
