How to open a Toshiba AT300 to replace the USB connector

Hi I have a Toshiba AT300. Unfortunately the USB connector is damaged and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately I don't know how to open the tablet. It looks very difficult to me. It would be great if somebody can tell me or provide me a link how to open the Tablet. Thanks!

SOURCE: Onda v711

You need to perform a hard reset on your Onda V711. Here`s how: You can perform a hard reset by booting into a special recovery mode. First, ensure your device is fully shut down. When the tablet is turned off, keep home button pressed.
Now turn on tablet while still holding the home button.
When white android figure appears, release both buttons.
You will get into recovery mode, you can select "restore factory settings" there.
If that fails, try flashing new firmware.

My tablet will not charge, what can I do

Hi Elizabeth.
Problems charging Android tablets usually stem from either the charger or the charging port itself. If you notice your tablet isn't charging, set it to Air plane Mode and reduce the brightness to extend the battery life while you work to solve the problem. Back up your files while you can, in case the problem can't be solved at home.
Sometimes the problem is with the charging port of the tablet itself. Examine it to see whether it's bent or misshapen. The connector on the charging cable needs to be able to fit well, so that all the pins on the charger are correctly attached to those on the port. If your port is damaged, it may need to be fixed or the entire unit may need to be replaced. You should also check the connector on the charging cable to make sure that port is correctly shaped and not damaged.
Sometimes using an incorrect power adaptor can prevent a tablet from charging. Look at both the base of the adaptor that plugs into an outlet and the cable itself. Very long extension micro USB cables, for example, charge more slowly than shorter OEM cables. Check the manual that came with your tablet to see what type of charger you need. If you're charging the tablet from a computer USB port, it may prevent the tablet from charging correctly. Use a wall adaptor and see if it fixes the problem.

or go to this link and read up some more on this matter.

tip

This also a great way to permanently damage your device if you don't do it...

If your Kindle (any version) is not charging because the USB port has gotten loose, try this...wrap a small piece of aluminum foil around your USB connector - the end that plugs into the device. Be careful not to extend the foil past the end of the connector, you don't want to damage your device. Plug the cable in to the outlet and into the Kindle port as usual, then watch the orange light come on!

Kindle charging ports get worn out over time, the foil is a great conductor and makes a solid connection. Obviously, you'll want to try a different cable first, but if that doesn't work, this is free and easy!

I have a Toshiba Portege M400. It runs ok if I leave it on a flat surface. However, if I try to move it the screen freezes up and the fan starts running very loudly. I am unable to do anything except cut...

Sounds like there might be dust inside of the laptop that is blocking one of the air vents. Plus the connectors to the screen may need to be reseated so that way the screen can be moved freely without it locking up on you and cutting off.
You have two issues going on. Bring it to somebody so they can open it up and make sure the air vents are cleaned out. Also they need to make sure the CPU fan is running properly. Then with the screen the connectors need to be reseated. Its also quite possible the screen connector might need to be replaced.
If the laptop is under warranty see if Toshiba will reapir it.

Pen not detected on especific zones of display

it's a digitizer (hardware part of LCD screen) problem, U can try to buy that part and replace it or just squeeze a little bit LCD screen on the edges around (don't squeeze the screen itself but just black plastic frame around the screen) - it helped my Toshiba for a while :)
