hi im jules_09,the average copy life as we call it is 60,000 copies after that you will replace the drum, cleaning blade and the developer.see first if the copy meter is already above 60,000 copies then about the print i think it time for you to replace all that is mentioned

The only thing you would be able to check is the shield glass which if I remember correctly is below your toner handle. lift you toner handle an you should see a small rectangular cutout the the glass slides into. Pull this out and clean this off. If this doesn't help you will need your pcu rebuilt. If you are handy with a screwdriver I could sell you the parts to fix this yourself for much less than dealer would charge.

Hi Dann,
Take a print out of copy count for isolating the issue with Drum unit (PCU) and optics.
1.f you get fine print on copy count optics need to be cleaned.
2. Clean shield glass of laser unit.
3. Half print or foggy image is certain issue with laser unit and needs to cleaned.
4. Drum runsmore than 60000BUT With a error on display( photoconductor unit needs to replaced) and thats not a problem.
