Many dryers have two screws near the bottom front. Take out the screws and swing the front off, bottom first. The top spring clips will release when you pull out the bottom. Be careful with the wires to the door switch. They are usually long enough so you can lean the front panel against the side of the dryer, or just unplug the wires. Of course, unplug the dryer first. The squeak is probably one of the drum rollers. To put the front panel back on, line up the top with the panel at an angle, then swing in the bottom.

My Maytag Depenable Care Gas Dryer has become very squeaky when the barrell spins. i took off the front panel and sprayed WD-40 on the backsides with the Plastic wheels and it went away for about 10...

Probably best to grease the wheels (called drum support rollers) rather than use WD-40 because that strips away the lubrication. It will also pay to check the drum support glides under the front of the drum. Worst case you may have to replace the support rollers.

I'M TRYING TO REPLACE A SQUEEKY PULLEY

The back does not come off.
Unplug the dryer.
Remove the top. Then the front panel. Then the front support. Then the belt. Then the drum.
Probably not a squeaky pulley.
Probably a bad drum bearing.

Cannot tighten the drive belt on my Fisher and Paykel DE04 electric dryer.

Remove the belt from the motor and pull it out of the tensioner. Put it back through the tensiner from the other side of the bracket. (If you put it in right to left, this time, put it in left to right ). The belt will seem very tight to try to get onto the motor but, it's supposed to.
