We have an older 60 inch zenith rear projection

We have an older 60 inch zenith rear projection big screen. It has advanced video imaging. The problem is the screen looks rounded on the edges. The color looks mostly red and green and the words are shadowed. Can this be fixed? My brother was getting the tv off of us and couldnt pay for it. We dont know if he done something to it and if so what he did.
