My father in law bought a Sansui DTV2760d and when he turns it on he gets the following error - I am trying to avoid a two hour drive up to fix a 5 minute problem and then a two hour drive back - Error - "Component no signal or not supported video resolution" He has Comcast service and has already talked to them - they say it is a problem with the TV - Any help is greatly appreciated! Bought an lg 3d smart tv. It has NO input/output jacks whatsoever, just hdmi & usb jacks. Wii does not have usb. How in the world am I suppose to hook this up? Is there a special adapter I need?

The original Wii console has Component, Composite or S-Video out. Your best bet is the Component out with a component video to HDMI converter. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/770114-REG/KanexPro_RGBRLHD_Component_to_HDMI_Audio_Video.html is one of these converters. You'll also need the RCA component video (3 RCA plugs) and audio cables (2 plugs) and an HDMI cable. These aren't sold in the box with the converters. Before buying a converter, check the output signal resolution.

I hope this helps.

(composite video to HDMI converters also exist. However, the resolution of the composite video signal is lower than the resolution on the component video signal.)

JVC Surround Sound System HDCP error message

HDCP...high definition copyright protection.

This means that one of two things have happened;

1) The connection method you used for video from the player to your monitor does not support the decoding of media that is copyright protected such as the Blu-ray format, or;

2) The media you are using is not a valid original recording.

As of yet, the only video connection available that supports the HDCP decoded signal is HDMI. Component video is capable of even greater resolution than HDMI but manufacturers haven't made a way of implementing it's use for copyright protected digital signals. However not ALL Blu-ray or HD-DVD media are copyright protected, that is completely dependent on individual title in which case a component video connection will work.

Computer vga cable/ sansui tv problem

Hello
Nvedia signals cannot be porcessed by Sansui Tv. You have tow options before you to connect your self assembled computer to this tV. The first one is try by reducing the resolution f VGA output. for that, go to Nvidea control [normally will be displayed at the right end of the taskbar] and chage relolution there. By default, the resolution will be 1024/768. Select it to the lowest; 800/600. If the TV display it, just advance it to the next highest; 960/600.
If this does not help you, there is no other way than change the computer's video card to any other, which works on Windows Video Drive. Can be bought from local computer component market, insert it to one amoung the free PCI socket of the computer and do the next proceedings to change over video output from on board video out, and feed this video signal to yur TV. OK.

I have a Sony BDP-S360 DVD Player, 1080p, that gives me a "Not Supported Mode" on my Samsung 1080i plasma TV. Model # HP-4253. I'm using a HDMI cable which I know is good because I used to with...

The error message you are receiving normally signals that the component you are connecting to your TV is outputting a video signal that is too high for your TV. You mentioned that your TV is a 1080i unit; the player may be trying to send a 1080p signal to it.

Pages 42-44 of your manual describe how to setup your output video mode. It may be that you have your video set to auto. The second column of page 43, just under the table labeled BD-ROM 1080/24p Output, describes how to press HOME to display the home menu, and then change the BD-ROM 1080/24p Output setting. You should be able to turn this OFF, and your picture should then come up, as the player will automatically lower the resolution until it finds one that will work.

If after lowering the output resolution you still receive the message, then there may be a problem with the Video Output circuit of the player. The player should be able to communicate through the HDMI cable to find the proper resolution. IF defective electronic components are stopping this from operation correctly they will have to be replaced. If you still have a warranty left they should cover this cost.

If you don't have a copy of your manual handy you can download a copy at the following website:

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

Out of range error

Out of range message means that the video resolution signal the monitor is receiving is not supported by the monitor. How do you hook up the DVD player to this monitor since it does not have composite ot component video inputs?
