Question about Bosch Dryers
I have just moved into a rental flat and there is a Bosch Classixx dryer. I can't figure out how to close the door. There is a picture of a hand on the door but I don't see how the mechanism makes it shut. I have searched for the user manual but sadly there is only a French, German and Italian one. Reading the German one, there is a reference to making the door go "click clack" but I can't figure out what the heck that means.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I had the same problem, mine was just the white Sprocket assembly, it stands straight up, there is another one which is the Worm gear, mine was fine. I read on some other post, when you take off the panel, and if you see a lot of white dust (shredded white plastic) then its the gear. Went to Sears warehouse, had the part in stock and replaced it myself. Had to just unbolt the Sprocket assembly from inside (3 bolts), pull out from the top, a little hassel, but got it done. Follow the instructions and you will be fine. Remember after greasing up the sprocket like it says too, take the time to use some silcone spray on the springs and rollers, a lot of people forget to do this, even me...

tony i'm assuming you on about the little bar/plate about an inch wide which seems to rattle about when you open the door??? This is i suppose the check strap and it is designed to hold the door open while not letting the door go too far and become hingebound, bending the hinge and possible damaging the door panel. If it is making a clicking noise it may need a bit of lubrication as it will go over some kind of ball or ridghe to slow it down. If it is completely loose it may be catching something inside the door, possibly the window frame guide or the internal skin of the door. check the mounting bolts on the door post and in the resess on the door and tighten them up and lubricate the rod. You may need to remove internal door skin, window switches etc to get to it. what ever you do do not remove it altogether, as one day the wind may catch it and take the door right around 180 degree causing serious damage, they are not designed to stop the door completely and can stretch if the wind does catch it so check it for damage to as it could effect the door hinges later on

Your motor is worn out. Bearings worn and not enough power to start it. Motor is not repairable it must be replaced or new dryer. Sorry
