Try unhooking the speakers and see what happens. Does it do the same thing, or does the green light come on and stay on?

Ok, then it's not a speaker impedance problem.... The next step would be to check the voltages across the terminals of the amp. If you don't have a DMM, any car audio shop should be willing to make a quick measurement for you for free. The should be 12 to 13.8 volts betwen ground and battery terminals and the same between the ground and remote terminals. If not, you wave a wiring issue, if the voltages are fine, then you definitely have a bad amp.
Are you trying to say that you're looking for advice on how to fix the internals? If so, then you need to give me an idea of your level of experience... Do you have an Oscilloscope, a DMM, and a soldering station? If not, forget about it.
