If there is one it is rihgt next to where the copper lines enter the outdoor unit. There should also be a none reszetable fuse on the furnace control board

Where is the reset button on my ruud acheiver 90 airconditioner?

Should be a small button on the outside unit close to where the tubing is welded on the unit. This is a high pressure switch that trips if the unit gets hot , so be sure and check the coil for dirt , etc. The fan pulls air through the coil. If the outside of the coil is dirty it will trip the high pressure switch. Look under the fins, you will see the outside of the coil.

Ruud air condition

You must be kidding. You want a video?

If the filter is in the air handler, it is in the bottom. Often filters are not in the units themselves, but in the main return grill in the ceiling. But if it is in the unit then:

Turn the unit off at the thermostat. (That way the fan is not sucking the filter up,) Then take the bottom door off. It is a small door and a pain, but you can do it. Pull out the filter. It is a washable black plastic framed thing. Then wash it and put it back in. Then make sure to put the door back on and turn the thermostat back on.

Where is the reset button on a ruud 10 seer located?

There is no reset button on that unit...if it is not working it is because the contactor has failed, the t-stat is not calling for cooling, or the compressor is bad...

My Ruud Achiever 90 Plus not blowing cooled air

Look on the condensor, (outdoor unit) at the very bottom of the rear panel and you should find a red reset button. push it. If that does not solve the problem, and the outdoor unit is running (make sure both the fan AND the compressor are running) then you are looking at a low refridgerant issue and possibly dirty coils.

In that case, clean the coils and have refridgerant added.

The reset is two pins on the defrost board. Put a flat scredriver across them to reset the board.

Ruud Achiever 10 heat pump - outside fan won't shut off

Definately get this checked out. Some thing has shorted just enough to let voltage "Feed back" and keep the fan running. Could be capacitor, wires rubbed through each other, etc. A reset is a safety that is used when there is an overcurrent or over pressure situation. No reset set for this situation.
There is always an outside chance that if you touch the unit while standing on wet ground, you may get shocked. I firmly believe that something is allowing power to the fan in a feedback condition so don't let this go as it may cause damage to other parts.

Good Luck and let me know how you make out on this.

there is no reset . some part somewhere has gone bad it had nothing to do with the bad filter ........ troubleshooting a hvac unit is tricky thing to do and if you want someone here to talk you through it , thats just a bad idea . i have spent years learning how to troubleshoot and spent lotts of money on the tools of the trade . i think you should call in a hvac repair person to check out your heater and find out the problem , its money well spent .......if this answer helped please rate this 3 or 4 stars . the high rateing will keep me in the paid answer department thank you
