Thermal cutoff resistor blown

Looks like an easy replacement, but what are the specs of this little device? Hard to read but it looks like 0445; 250v; 10a;sf188E;fuse

is this an easy thing to source?

likely you blew your thermal cutoff. You need to replace that part. They usually have a temperature rating on them and you can replace it with any after-market part from any electronics parts or appliance parts place.

You may need to replace the thermal cutoff. It looks like a resister but acts more like a fuse. It can be found underneath under some braided insulator. If the rating isn't printed on it get 192 degrees celcius. Just crimp on the new one

My Eliter MST-800VW will not heat up when turned on. The last time I used it, it quit heating after an hour when it was set on high

The most common failure is the thermal cutoff (a resister like component that acts like a fuse). To find it turn your cooker over and remove the bottom. Look for the component (likely hidden inside a braided insulation). replace with one with the same temperature rating or if not printed on it get 185 degrees celcius.

I have the ct chef sa2190 cooker and had left it in the box too long and when i plugged it in the battery is dead.. where is the battery located?? and what kind does it take..

Upon reading up on your model i severely doubt that it has a battery. The most common problem with cookers is a thermal cutoff failing. The review site where i read up about your model had one person who only used their cooker twice before it failed. If your clock is out then maybe your power problem may be closer to the cord than that. Perhaps your cord is not good. Only a continuity tester (multimeter on resistance setting) will tell for sure.

I have s Sanyo ECJ-S35S rice cooker does not heat up. When I press Start/Cook button it keep flashing and light does not stay on. Any idea what I can do?

A rice cooker that doesn't cook anymore usually requires a thermal cutoff replaced. They act like a fuse and look like a resister. Look underneath it is crimped to one of the leads but perhaps underneath some braided insulation. Purchase another cutoff at an electronics components store (not radioshack). If there is not a rating on it try 185 degrees celcius.

If i put rice nd water in rice cooker. It doesnt will b as it is.lamp wo t glow.vessel doesnt produce steam

The thermal cutoff blew (it is like a fuse) either but another one, or attempt to purchase a part from an electronics supply and replace it yourself. If you can locate an appliance repair place they charge to much to make it worthwhile.

It could be because it knows that the thermal cutoff has blown and that power is not reaching the heater.

Stopped heating the water. Is there a way to fix it?

Yes... just replace the thermal cutoff located under all cookers. It looks like a resister crimped onto one of the wires. Electronic suppliers sell them. Get 185 degrees celcius if you cannot locate the ratings on it.

It is a blown thermal fuse. On 6-cup Rival it is across terminal where power comes into cooker. You can replace thermal fuse for less than a dollar in under an hour. Remove the bottom of the cooker. The thermal fuse is covered by a heat wrap sleeve across input terminal.
