Hi again! i have a multifuctional machine gestetner dsc428. i print 500A3 full black with b/w print option from the driver checked. After i finished the prints my machine shows a message on screen tha says: INDEPENDENT-SUPPLIER TONER IS SET. Does anyone knows what is this message? and how it goes away! Also although this message appears the machine still works perfet! thanx a lot!!!!!!!!!

No. They have a chip in them that will prevent you from doing that.

MacOS does not support PCL driver (only the latest versions of MacOs support it). You need to install the PS (PostScript) Driver but for that your machine needs to have PS installed to.
This is optional on several models.
If you really what to print with your Mac and extract all functionalists you have to put this optional.
You could go around the problem by installing in Your Mac a virtual machine with Windows...

MacOs just print with PS (PostScript).
Probably your machine do not have it (moustly because it is extra and it is to expensive)
But you can download from a web sit called "Gutenprint for Mac OS X" (make a search on Goggle and you will find it) a generic driver for PCL printers
You will not be able to take full advantage of the machine but... work.

I didnt try it but Looks like there is a printer driver that will work with any PCL printer. Just have to install the HP ijs driver.

did you check the fuser sensore

That is an issue with the sensors or high voltage to the transfer unit. Could be dirty sensors or a problem with what is called the quenching lamp.

okay your machine has the finisher option and punch option? if so when you go to print click file, then print. when your window opens for the printers select the gestetner. then choose properties. then choose printing prfeerences. then choose punch

Try to type "admin" and press # key

Sounds like you don't have a print or print/scan option in stalled. All machines come with network port but only works if option is intalled. You can check if you have the option installed, maybe just not activated. At the back just abouve the network port there is a cover that covers 2 sd card slots. If the is no sd card installed you will not be able to print to the machine. If the is a sd card installed contact me again and i will help with activation

the printer in the service program has a option for the printer to do a process control on selected number of copies that number for your machine should be lower because you print about 150 duplex pages an that is 300 single pages so go in the service menu and set the process control on some 30 pages to be done .
Follow the next procedure:
- For to enter the service mode:
1. Press the clear modes key(the yellow key)
2. Type “107” at the numeric keypad.
3. Press the clear/stop key(red key)
and hold it down until the screen
display changes (for about 3 seconds).
4. Touch “Copy Sp” on the touch screen.
In the upper right corner on the touch screen has a key named [Sp Direct],touch that key and enter with the numeric key pad the numbers:3003 and on he screen will appear [Lubricant Interval] set the interval on 30 pages and press the "#" key for to confirm the value. After that for to return to normal mode press the exit key on the touch screen several times.
Also do the [maintenance -clean/adjust] option once after 1000 or 500 pages printed. Because this is a office machine and when you print on her a lot of pages per day the machine start to get dirty.
