Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator
Our water pressure coming out of the dispenser is very low. How to remedy? the ice maker works fine. i have noticed that it is time to replace the water filter. Are the 2 issues related?I have the same problem. One thing I notice is that when a new filter is installed, the water shoots out rapidly for a few seconds. Then the flow drops off to nothing as air is purged from the new filter. When the flow resumes, it is back to the very slow rate.
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
The ice and water dispenser makes use of the cooling system of the refrigerator itself. If the freezer and refrigerator sections are operational as expected, then there would be nothing wrong with any component(s) directly related to the cooling system.
The basic design of ice and water dispenser follow the same principle. Both dispensers share the same inlet pipe for the water, the same filtration system and only splits up with a dual water inlet valve kit. If it were a filter problem, then the issue would be with both the water and ice dispensers not only with the water.
The only difference with the 2 systems is that in the ice dispenser, the incoming water is frozen while in the water dispenser, it is only cooled down. From the filter, the incoming water passes a dual water inlet valve kit. This serves as electronically controlled valves that allows water to flow on either or both the ice dispenser system or the water dispenser system. This could be then a suspect. There would be a possibility that the valve for the water dispenser is restricted, partially blocked hence the limited supply of water. Another possibility is the water line from the dual valve leading to the water dispenser system is partially clogged, kinked.
Based on the above, possible faults could be with the dual valve or the water line.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

On the back of the freezer there is evaporater coil normally some ice gets collected there, but if too much ice gets collected in the evaporater coil the ventilations gets blocked and this problem occurs.
the solution for this problem is simple.defrost the unit for 48 hours by making it empty completely.then check out in next 12 hours the problem will be solved.but if same problem occurs then its the problem of evaporater coil that needs replacement.
you can get evaporater coil at
this will help.
please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.thanks.
