Lost blue. 90% of these problems are a bad interconnect cable between
te computer and monitor. Very few are actual failures inside the
monitor. When it is a failure inside the monitor most are solder
connection failures.

There is usually very little that is between the cable and the picture
tube in most computer monitors. Typically you will have a fast
switch/buffer to insert the OSD, then a predriver transistor and an
output transistor circuits.
So the actual failure will need troubleshot while it is acting up by a
technician.

This blue green tint appears when a magnet is close to the monitor. Find devices having a magnet which is close to the desktop. This might be the problem. Take devices having magnets away and i guess things should be fine.

sounds like a cable problem, can you find another VGA cable to try, look at the cable ends carefully for bent pins.(they are easy to bend by accident) wiggle the blue VGA connector while its on, try both ends, I think when you push the button your pushing on the cable momentarily which causes the monitor to function properly, likely the connector on the back of the monitor. if this helps, please use the thumbs up for feedback. cheers

Can"t find white or comfortable background screen other than a light green that is hurting my eyes

If you have a screen that gets "tints" of various colors on a corner or edge, check that the monitor plugin cable is not near or laying on top of a power cable, the magnetic field around a power cord will cause a monitor to get strange tints or lines in the screen. Option two if the entire screen has a tint equally all over it is possibly the color is out of adjustment or failing - a technician should be able to adjust it internally.
