Question about Washing Machines

Zanussi ZWF1221W will not spin

We have a two and a half year old Zanussi ZWF 1221W washing machine that is no longer spinning. Checked the filter in the bottom at the front and the waste pipe and both are clear. It will fill with water but not spin. It is taking the washing powder but not the conditioner. Checked the belt and it is fine and I can spin the drum by hand easily enough. It will also drain the water using the pump too. Is it the motor that is gone?

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWF1437W E23

E23 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain programe.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.

SOURCE: zanussi zwf 1221w drum bearing replacement, is

This is not an easy repair to carry out, it involves a complete strip down of washer, and removing the whole drum assy from the washer, and until it is stipped down, you will not know if the drum shaft is worn, if it is, then this puts it way beyond an economical repair.

I HAVE A ZANUSSI AQUACYCLE WASHING MACHINE ZWF1221W. IT WORKs THROUGH THE WASH BUT JUST BUZZES ON THE RINSE CYCLE. I CAN TURN IT TO SPIN & EMPTY AND THAT WORKS AS WELL.

clair you may have a cold water problem, it may have filled with hot water and gone through wash cycle but as it got to rince it only fills with cold water ,the buzzing may be the cold water solenoid staying open and if there is no water passing through it will make a buzzing noise,
1.check the cold water valve # is on . it's what the blue /cold hose is connected to, also in some hoses there is a filter ,it's possible it could be blocked but unlikely.
2. check the cold water hose has not bend in half from the wall valve to the washing machine, this will stop the water flowing.
3. or it's possible you could have a faulty cold water solenoid valve.**
cold water pipe on wall> water valve# > blue cold water hose > * *cold water solenoid valve on machine.

Zanssi washing machine ZWF 1221 W will not spin

Do you realise there is a law I understand that says for 6 yrs the goods should be fit for the purpose you bought them for. Look at this "your rights " & go tackle the store you bought the machine from.
