When I removed my car's battery (in 2 occasions of positive first and also negative first), odometer, fuel meter, temp. meter, trip meter and all other instrument indications got reset. Even after...

normal ,if you disconnect the battery it will lose all the readings as no battery is used on the back of the dash unit .Now if your losing readings without disconnectiing the battery then you may need a new speedo head ,expensive just ignore it who needs to know what the trip meter read anyway

Since a new meter was fitted my lights keep tripping

1) Understand electric service:

2) Do a heat test on breakers and outlets and switches, than a stress test on main breaker box.

3) Check that wire size and breaker size match

4) Break new meter with hammer and they will replace with another new meter made in China, intended to put local workers out of a job, so we can pay for automated meter reading requiring software owned by foreign investors charging at least 25 cents per month per customer to read the meter, using workers located somewhere else, which doesn't include cost of necessary towers and maintenance, or include software upgrades, or include needed security upgrades. Oh, but you will be able to pay additional monthly fee to get static snapshots of power usage at 15 minute intervals, and the switch controlling your power will be located somewhere besides your town.

Trip breaker, reset it but no power to anything. what is problem?

Probably just a fuse somewhere. Does your battery meter work? If not, there may be a fuse on the battery harness thats blown. Failing that, depending on what make of control box is fitted to your scooter, it could be a fuse within this that has blown.

Battery light still on after new battery and alternator fitted

Use a volt meter and make sure the battery has 11 volts or better. If not the battery does need replacing. Anything under 11 volts tells you the battery is no good to use any longer and will not hold a charge

I have just fitted new battery to my pride sonic but will only move very slowly even at maximum speed adjustment

Hi. Did you fit one battery or two new ones. It never pays to fit only one battery.
Have you checked for a high/low switch, sometimes called indoor/outdoor switch.
Check motor and battery connectors.
Check motor current ( amps ) with an amp meter to see if the motor is faulty.
Check brake unit is not causing drag on the machine.
Good luck. Neil.

Looking for wiring diagram for 1988 escort 1.8 tdi. need to fit cd/radio existing wiribng just on chp block..

you need a volt meter and 9v battery. earth black contact from meter & then
  1. with ign off probe wire to find a live , thats the memory feed goes to yellow on radio
  2. with ign on probe wires that the constent live goes to red on radio
  3. when lights on probe wires thats the illumination feed (if fitted to car, but not used on many new radios
  4. then get 9v battery and with remaining wires pair and connect to battery, when speaker buzz's mark pair as they are ( ie front right rear left etc ) the speaker wires from the new radio are paired by colour ( one with black stripe with is the negative of the pair)
  5. there should be a ground/earth which if you cant find just hook one to the body/chassis
