Hi,
Look at the back of the router for Reset button and reset your router to restore factory settings. Turn over router and check in the bottom default access IP address and then type that IP address in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you. Go to the Wireless Lan settings and then you will SSID so change the SSID and this would be your network`s name. Then go to subsection security and select WPA2-PSK or simple WPA-PSK then enter your desired network key. Once done with all these things the click apply and reboot if prompted. Good Luck

I dont have a disk to install my wep key to stop people from stealing my internet

open a web browser window on the connected computer and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press enter. A window will pop up prompting you for a username and password to access the configuration page for your router. Enter admin for both the username and password.

If it not accept then type user name Admin leave the password box blank and then click ok.

If it still does not accept it that means you have changed your user name and password of linksy.
To get your linksys default settings you will have to reset your linksys router by inserting a paperclip into the small Tiny hole into the back of the Linksys router for 10 sec.

Now you try to access router by user name and password which is mentioned above.

now you will have Linksys router page and now click on Security seetings on top

choose WPA PSK security settings

Now it will as you the security key

Enter any security minimum of 8 Characters anything you like.

click save settings on the bottom.

now try to connect to your Wireless network

it will ask you the security key

Enter your security and your wireless network is secured now.

here is also the Linksys Tech support no. as well. to know your exact user name and password of linksys and other details.

I have a linksys wireless G broadband router and have lost the security code to enter on the other laptops in our house. Can you help?

Hi.

The only solution is to reset your router to the factory defaults.

To do this, use an unfolded metal paper clip and push it in the small hole near the power connection for 5 seconds while your router in powered on.

This procedure will erase all passwords and security settings.

Make sure you re-enter a new password and setup wireless security after reset.

To enter your router config. Open your web browser and type 192.168.1.1 After a reset left the user name or login blank and the password is: admin.

Then you will be able to set your new security key.

You may need to reset your device and you will see a reset button at back of your router so all you need is to keep holding it for 10 seconds then unplug the power jack for like 1 min and then your device shall be reset. But please make sure to backup your all settings first...
Then turn over router and check in the bottom default access IP address and then type that IP address in to your browser. Then it shall ask you for ID and password. Enter `Admin` or `admin` as ID and `Password` or `password` as password. You will see a web based setup opened in front of you.
