( 1998 Pontiac sunfire ) Is it possible just to remove the vtd on a 1998 pontiac sunfire and how can I find out if it does have the vtd on this 1998 pontiac sunfire ...car is not starting ...ruled out...

Security light lit on the instrument cluster ? It should have anti-theft system . No , can't just remove it . It has componets - key lock cylinder housing , software programmed into control modules etc... If you just removed or disconnected the pass lock sensor the pcm -engine computer would not see a coded message ,so it would disable fuel injectors an maybe starter . Your best bet ,have a qualified repair shop diagnose it .

Where is the crankshaft positioning sensor located on a 2003 pontiac sunfire?

Hi, you have to crawl underneath the front of the vehicle and locate the crankshaft sensor. It is on the back side of the engine block, below the cylinder head. You have to unplug the sensor's electrical connector to remove it.

Inspect the IAT sensor and wiring. The sensor is located in the air induction tube near the air filter. I've seen these wires break at the connector.

I have a 95 pontiac sunfire, it died on me a lil back ago!! car turns over but wont start, no fuel pump problems!! please what could it be, and how can fix it?

Your, car has a crankshaft sensor that, may not working.
Check, the sensor, it is located ( Near the Crankshaft,) You'll
need to look from under the car.
Or It may just NOT have a good connection.
Wet, DIRT bad connection rust on connector.
