WE HAVE CHECKED ALL OF THE EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS AND NONE OF THEM ARE LEAKING. WHEN I RUN THE WASHER WATER LEAKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE OUT OF THE LEFT SIDE. THE WATER IS TRICKLING OUT OF THE FIRST TWO SILVER TRAYS ON THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE! WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM?

I have water leaking from the left side of the machine when it pumps out. I cannot see any breaks in any hoses. Is there a tub seal that could be the problem? I had a problem of water out the front of the unit, i replaced the pump and that fixed that issue.

    Dear who it may concern:

We have the same problem that you described in your latest artical and our washing machine is also leaking but it is leaking underneath the centre of our washing machine so we were wondering if you could email us back to tell us any solutions that could help us in this problem.

    Thank you

It might not have totally emptied during the last cycle.  Try laying the hose where the water empties down.  The level of the hose needs to be lower than the water level to be able to drain.  Make sure you have a bucket to empty in to.

Try to clean your coin filter trap underneath and then sanitize the unit before your next wash with bleach water and clean it.

1. Unplug the washer

2. Pull the washer out to tilt it back so you can

reach the screws below the front panel and

remove it. (You will need something to catch

the water once the hose is removed from

the bottom of washer)

3. Loosen the bolt with the sliver clamp on the

bottom of the washer. The water will begin to

come out while your loosening the clamp. (Do

not remove any GREEN clamps)

4. Once the water is out, you can stick your hand

inside the hose to clean it out.

Every time we wash there is water leaking, not sure were the water is coming from. i have checked the hose.

Hi.

Check that the leak is not coming from inlet valve itself. If the leak is from underneath the washer check drain pump hoses. You may need to disassemble the washer pulling up the top panel and accessing the drain pump at the bottom to find the leak.

Its very possible it could be one of the tubes that run to the fabric softener or detergent.

Maytag top load washing machine leaking water from bottom

The machine is leaking water from the bottom, I think the leak is in the area near where the motor is mounted. Before we noticed the water comes from underneath the washer, we smelled like burning rubber.

Washing Machine Emptying

Sure sounds like a hole or crack in the tub.  Unplug power, shut off water, and disconnect the hoses.  Tilt the washer onto its front and look underneath.  Use a light to inspect the tub bottom and sides for a hole or crack. If it is small enough you might be able to plug it with silicone sealant.

Water Leaks from beneath my washing machine

Our WM2077CW just started the water leaking from underneath. We unplugged the electrical cord and disconnected the hoses (water, drain). We then removed the inspection plate from the back and checked for wet hoses. The big black hose on the bottom was a little wet. On careful examination we found a small hole that looked like a material fatigue failure at the point where the accordion part of the hose met with the solid part of the hose near the main drum connection. I suspect this is may occur in other LG washers of the same design. Unless your floor is perfectly level it's hard to tell whether coming from the left or right side really indicates where underneath the water is coming from.
