My Panasonic Omnivision VHS won't eject

A tape ha gotten stuck in it, it had just spinned and tangled in the vhs. I openned the vhs and got the tape out, but the vhs is still in the play position. And I can't get it to eject (with no tape) and with the tape back in it how it's supposed to be. I've tried everything I can do, but no luck.

If you can help with my problem, please email me at leira325@hotmail.com.

Thank You.

My Panasonic VHS Player Model PV-V4020 is locked up so I cannot insert a new tape.

This will be some form of physical damage to the carriage mechanism, that holds the tape. Sometimes it's a simple thing like the flap getting stuck. But often it's a broken piece of plastic.

How to eject a stuck vhs tape.

I will show you how to eject a stuck vhs tape. I did this on the sony slv-d300p first, unplug it. Next, take out all the screws on the back. Take off the cover. Locate the loading motor on the right. Turn the gears next to it. After about 5 minutes, the tape should eject. While its open, take a CLEAN piece of paper, hold it up to the drum, and rotate it with the paper against the back. after 5 minutes, take the paper off and stop spinning. the paper may be dirty. put the cover back on, and try to put in a vhs c adapter with NO vhs c in it. when you put it in, it should spit it back out.

Vhs is stuck in machine. Won't play and won't eject.

There are any number of reasons why it won't play. The loading basket is jammed, the video tape has got tangled up in the mechanical section of the vcr or the loading gears are stripped. Unplug machine and remove top, [screws side and back] if the tape is spewed carefully remove by cutting it and clean tape particles, for any other problem have a technician check it out.

The vhs cassettes keep being ejected when put in the vhs player

Well the vcr might be broken for the part that allows the tape to sit in there or something is stuck inside of the vcr so it will need to be fixed.

A VHS tape is stuck in my TV/VHS combo unit.

I'm sorry to say that the solution as stated is not correct. This condition usually occurs because of belts that are slipping. In order to remove the tape, some dis-assembly is required. If you have not done this in the past, I would not suggest that you attempt this repair. This repair should cost about $10 in parts plus labor. It is possible that the IR LED is defective as well which can also cause this. This is a common failure and should be a simple repair for any shop.
